band tees + granola topped smoothiesss...that’s how I like to spend my saturdeees
After my last post I found out I have fellow granola fans! Here’s the recipe I use to make my healthy + cheap granola (adapted from @hautehealthy). Also, Austen says it taste like cookie dough, so there’s another reason to try it.
Preheat oven 350
Mix in large bowl:
3 cups oats (I use gf)
1 cup unsweetened coconut flakes
½ cup maple syrup (until lightly saturated)
1-2 T golden flax seed meal
1tsp vanilla extract
Stir till mixed and spread over parchment paper lined cookie sheet
Bake 15-20 min (or till golden brown and the smell wafts through the house)
Honestly I just eyeball it all depending on how much of each ingredient I have left, but these measurements are correct. No oil, low sugar and it’s cheap because I buy everything in bulk!

Introducing the Single-leg Stability Ball Curls.
1️⃣ Lay flat in your back and place one foot on the ball and dig that heel in.
2️⃣ Take a deep breath in then bring the ball towards you, while elevating the hips.
3️⃣ Slowly return the ball to the starting position, without letting your butt touch the floor.
These are great as a warm-up or a complete exercise.
If this is too challenging to start, do both feet on the ball at the same time.

What’s your morning fuel of choice?
Big compound session about to go down this afternoon. Essential that I load up on some carbs to fill my muscle glycogen stores, and an early opportunity to flood in some protein to maximise new muscle tissue development.
Porridge oats with chocolate whey protein, peanut butter, banana, a singular strawberry to make it slightly more aesthetic, and a sprinkle of cinnamon.

Yesterday was LEG DAAY! And we did a lot of band work in the gym yesterday! I’m super excited to get stronger everyday that I go to the gym. My glutes, hammies & quads are on fireeeee 🔥🔥 Soreness is an indication of progress. So stretch it out and keep going! TGIF! I hope everyone has a great weekend 🤗

◽️30g vegan chocolate protein (Arbonne protein powder is vegan + GF)
◽️80g oat flour
◽️50g coconut sugar
◽️100g peanut butter
◽️35g melted coconut oil
◽️25g almond milk
◽️1/2 tsp of baking powder + salt
◽️15g choc chips (optional)
◽️ vanilla extract or cinnamon (optional)
◽️Preheat oven to 180C or 356F
◽️Mix all dry ingredients together
◽️Mix all wet ingredients together
◽️Combine dry and wet mixture
◽️Make into balls and press down lightly
◽️Spread out evenly on lined baking tray
◽️Bake for 12-14 mins

this week has been the toughest in my life in a while. i’m so thankful for my friends, bf, and really kind followers who have reached out to be there for me ♥️♥️ u have no idea how much it’s keeping me going.
i’m so close to my first weight goal so that’s really cool too :-)
i also did 8 push ups today 😯
lots of crying, yelling in my car, and a little over eating, but im still breathing and making gains in the gym. i’m trusting not only my health journey but my mental journey.

Put your elbows on the floor, raise up on the tips of your toes, and keep your back straight and your abs tight in a line. Hold that position as long as you can. 30 seconds is pretty good if your kids can hold it that long.
Put your feet a shoulders’ width apart and do deep knee bends as if you’re sitting down on an invisible box. Put your arms out. Make sure your knees don’t extend past your toes.
Keep your abs tight and your back straight; you can do this with a straight or bent knee.
Sit-ups, but not all the way from floor to knee. Just curl your chest toward your knees. (These are called “curl-ups” at my kids’ school.) 5. Lunges
Take a step. Touch your back knee to the floor, and make sure your front knee doesn’t extend past the toes.
6. Side leg raises
Just like Jane Fonda used to do! Keep your legs straight.
These are pretty tough for me, and a whole sequence of them will really get your heart racing. Squat, then put your hands to the ground. Kick your legs straight back behind you, landing on your toes. Then do a push-up, bring your legs back underneath you, and jump straight up off the floor. That’s one burpee.
8. Mountain Climbers
Start in a push-up position, then alternate bringing one foot at a time forward toward your armpit and then extend it back out. It almost looks like a stationary bear crawl.
9. Butterfly Kicks
Lie on your back. Keeping your abs tight, raise your feet just barely off the floor and flutter-kick them. This one makes my girls giggle, which then makes their abs loosey-goosey, which makes it hard for them to do the exercise. But it’s fun all the same.
This one’s like a sit-up, but in the shape of a V. Lie back, extend your arms out above your head on the floor, then lift your legs and raise your torso and hands until you make a V. Reach toward your feet, then back down again.

Honestly this is a pretty big topic I think! There are days where you might feel super confident and other days you feel super self conscious 🤷🏼♀️ This actually happens to me a lot whether it’s in the gym or not. I’m pretty sure that’s normal and sometimes it’s just in our head but sometimes it’s triggered by other people around you. Sometimes it’s lighting, sometimes it’s the outfit and sometimes it’s just about how you mood is that day. I think we perceive ourselves differently depending on our mood an all that. Sorry for rambling on I just wanted to share this because it’s normal to feel super confident one day and the next you might not. We are all people and no one is perfect so just be kind to each other so you are never the reason someone might feel uncomfortable / self-conscious that day.
