Alright, I did the $50 @vigilanceelite Walmart challenge from @shawnryan762 and @mike.a.glover but with a little twist. $100 and I had to make 2 bags (one for the wife’s car and one for mine). This all came out to $104 (the $3 flashlights are not pictured). A number of items were on clearance so that kept the price down. I will say I added an emergency blanket, some other first aid essentials, a road map and a CAT tourniquet after the fact. All told it was under $200 to outfit two vehicles with a good basic “oh shit kit.” Jumper cables, gloves and quality flashlights are already in each vehicle. People looked at me a little sideways in Walmart but I enjoyed the challenge. I realize that I don’t have water purification covered here but I have a Lifestraw with me in my carry bag at all times. #survival#fswlifestyle#fieldcraftsurvival#greenberet#navyseal

The old chicken coop, that the previous owners had built, was completely overtaken with English Ivy. The best way to remove the ivy was to remove to coop!
A reminder of some foods that young children can easily choke on.
➀ WHOLE DRIED APRICOTS cut them up
➁ GIANT MARSHMALLOWS soft and squishy, can easily get stuck in your child’s airway
➂ FUDGE cut up into small pieces
➃ HARD SWEETS any sweets have the potential to be a choking hazard, but small round, hard sweets are the perfect size and shape to block your child’s airway
➄ LOLLY POPS same applies to lolly pops as it does to hard sweets
➅ CHEWY SWEETS even though these are softer than hard sweets, they still are gooey and can get lodged in a child’s airway easily
➆ SPOONFUL OF PEANUT BUTTER a dollop of peanut butter can create a seal around the airway. Spread it on toast instead!
➇ CHOCOLATE SPREAD a spoonful of chocolate spread can create a seal around the airway. Spread it on toast instead!
➈ CHEWING GUM gooey, stretchy and sticky. A no no for children under 4yrs. Children under 4yrs are unlikely to understand the concept of chewing without swallowing. So best to avoid. .
We don’t wish to be pessimistic about feeding your little ones, but be sensible and never leave them unattended when they’re eating.
