Qutub Minar or Qutb Minar, a 73 m (240 ft.) high tower made of red sandstone and marble is not only the highest brick minaret in the world but also one of the most famous historical landmarks of India. The construction of this tower of victory was started by the founder of the Mamluk Dynasty in Delhi, Qutb ud-Din Aibak and completed by his successor and son-in-law Iltutmish. Located in the heart of Delhi, India, this UNESCO World Heritage Site, visible from different parts of the city attracts thousands of visitors every day. It is one of the most popular tourist spots in India and a must visit tourist spot in the itinerary of first time visitors to Delhi, both national and international.
The theme for this year is Zero Hunger. Globally, 1 in 9 people go to sleep hungry despite nearly 1/3 of world food produced every year getting wasted.
Our food choices not
only affect us and our health, but the planet as well. We urge you to make conscious food choices and think about what kind of resources went into producing it. Remember too, the millions of living beings going without food every single day. #WorldFoodDay#zerowaste#Consciousliving#sustainability

16th October, World Food Day
On Saturday CPL’s Angela Stavrevska attended ‘Voices from the Amazon’ a talk given by CAFOD, our charity partner, about the dangerous work that they and the wider Catholic Church are doing to protect indigenous people’s lives, and this incredibly important habitat, from being destroyed across the region. CAFOD are supporting many local communities not only in Brazil but also across other Amazonian countries such as Colombia and Peru. The work covers many areas including legal support for people to claim their land rights, and how to protect them into the future, training in agriculture and education on gender issues, to encourage women’s voices to be heard.
With secure land many of the indigenous people can begin to sustainably grow crops to feed their families in harmony with, and without the destruction of, the Amazon forest. The indigenous communities have generations’ worth of knowledge of the forest and how it can be managed sustainably whilst still providing food under the tree canopy, via Agroecology. Fast growing crops such as beans and cassava provide for immediate needs. Native fruits and palm plants such as acai, banana and cocoa are highly prized and protect the soil and water sources whilst slow growing and valuable plants such as Brazil nut trees are planted and work to reinstate healthy natural processes in the forest.
The work being done on the ground in the Amazon is extremely important. Many of these safe and protected communities continue the fight against land clearance on behalf of all of us. Supporting CAFOD, no matter what faith you are, can help to continue that fight.

Introducing the newest project in our fleet – Henvey Inlet Wind. It is the largest single-phase wind facility in Canada and the largest on-reserve wind installation in the country.
We’re extremely proud to be an equal partner with Henvey Inlet First Nation on the largest wind energy project attempted by a First Nation in Canada. This project not only provides a long-term revenue source for Henvey Inlet First Nation to create and fund community based health/wellness, education and housing programs, but will also help reduce the impact on our environment caused by climate change.
This new facility is now generating clean, homegrown energy for 100,000 homes in Ontario each year without any harmful emissions. .

With it smooth surface and gentle curves, we have our own brand radiator, the Radius in white. Available in 12 sizes, 6 vertical and 6 horizontal, the Radius has a slightly textured matt finish, which we think would look stunning with either white, chrome or satin nickel modern radiator valves. Just because he is not in daycare, doesn’t mean that he doesn’t have friends or that we dont see other children. We are blessed with a community with lots of children and babies, and we meet up most days. I dont think it is necessary to have them in daycare in order for them to learn to ‘socialize’ or to get friends. They are little human beings, they are born with beautiful social skills. We just have to consciously provide them with the ideal surroundings, and that can have many different looking faces. Yesterday it looked like this for us 🥰☀️
We are happy campers to announce that Fátima & Dominik from @ecosia will be keynote speakers at SenseCamp. The topic they will address will focus on "How social business can act on the climate crisis". Ecosia is a search engine based in Berlin that uses the ad revenue from web searches to plant trees that benefit people, the environment and local economies.

Hi guys! It’s been a while😅 Recently I decided not to go looking for content to post on Instagram unless it’s like actually productive to society and makes me feel good! So here we go:
A kind person (sarcasm there) decided to comment on a recent post of mine to argue with a point I made about conservation. Hey, that’s cool - how can I make a controversial statement without welcoming an argument, right? Totally fine. Here’s my only little issue with that: if you have a problem with anything I’m saying, PLEASE bring factual evidence to the table. Bring REAL FACTS. REAL STATISTICS. RESEARCH ARTICLES. Some number you heard in a movie or a Facebook post, or assumptions you made based on a NON-scientific research article NOT from a published academic journal will NOT cut it. I have a lot of people that disagree with me out there about my stance on zoos and aquariums but I also have THAT many people that DO agree with me and will readily provide citations and their own experiences working with animals to refute any point being made. Sure, the world I am trying to defend is not perfect - but oh what wonderful things have happened as a result? Species are being reintroduced to the wild. Species are living out their days in managed care with abundant food, world class health care, and lack of predators due to the efforts of well-functioning zoos everywhere. Does this mean all zoos are good? No. But NOT ALL ARE BAD EITHER. In fact MOST are good.
Final thoughts: DO RESEARCH. DO NOT believe everything you hear from a “free-the-animals” Instagram page. In fact, hell - don’t even JUST believe MY page. Ask me questions. I will literally help you find answers. If you don’t believe something, show me research. We’ll talk it out. But if you’re on this page and you already disagree, take your bad attitude elsewhere because I simply have much better things to do than to argue with people who don’t want to learn something new. I learn new things and I’m wrong about things ALL the time - it was only when I recognized that, that I realized all of the good I am capable of doing by revealing the truth. Have questions? Ask them. Have a nice day! ❤️

Nor clouds, nor rain, nor storm...nothing was able to afraid our friends from Canada...Yohan and Fawad came from the north for business...but they took a day off, because they wanted to know about our country and our viticulture…
Casablanca valley received them a little cold, but it was not a problem for them to enjoy our wines and food.
In this opportunity, Emiliana Organic Vineyards (@emilianaorganic) and Casas del Bosque Winery (@casasdelbosque) were the wineries in charge to enchant our passengers... A handful of Napa home grown #WineCaps , the perfect mushroom for Wine Country. These solid tannin colored caps belong to #Strophariarugosoannulata a saprophytic fungi that grows on almost any organic matter (mine are on straw and oak chips). Similar to oyster mushrooms, Wine Cap mycelium is weaponized to capture nematodes and utilize their nitrogen for growth. It is an edible mushroom that can grow to gargantuan, depending on the size of the substrate bed. They efficiently process the lignin and cellulose out of organic matter and are excellent soil builders. As such Wine Caps are often inoculated into straw and spread about garden beds, providing moisture/weed/pest control and giving the farmers delicious mushrooms to boot! I find them to have a very crisp texture when cut, but they cook down well like other mushrooms. The flavor is hard to describe, it is very similar to the smell of the mycelium growing on the straw and wood chips. These are my first big home growing mushroom success, I seeded two bags of spawn back in April and am reaping regular mushrooms from the beds in my backyard. Truly a sustainable and efficient way of adding high quality protein and deliciousness to my life, thanks Wine Caps!

More than ever, tourism destinations must take action to protect their ecologically and financially valuable natural resources. Adventure Travel News reported that Nepal has banned single-use plastics. The ban, which begins January 2020, comes after a 45-day clean-up effort to remove 24,200 pounds of garbage from Everest.

Today is World Food Day! 😋🍎🥒🌽⠀
This day was created by @fao to bring awareness to the fact that many go without healthy, nutritious foods. Everyone deserves access to wholesome food and we need food systems that can provide. And of course there is an integral connection between food and environmental sustainability. ⠀
Here are some facts surrounding the day:⠀
🍏 More than 820 million people are going hungry.⠀
🍎 149 million children under five are stunted by lack of food.⠀
🍑 8 plant species out of 6,000 supply more than 50% of our daily calories.⠀
🍋 Climate change threatens to reduce both the quality and quantity of crops, lowering yields.⠀
🌲 Good forestry practices are one of the many solutions to hunger. An estimated 50% of fruits come from trees! That's where agroforestry comes in as a good practice to address both the nutritional needs of local communities, and the carbon sequestration we need to mitigate climate change.⠀
Appreciate your own access to healthy food when you sit down for dinner today! 💚 .
Casual, but make it fashion 😎
It’s been such a honor to work with @decjubaofficial and learn more about the ways in which this female led organization is making a difference! 🌎 Partnering with brands that are doing what they can to be innovative in their sustainability efforts is a big deal to me. I take responsibly for introducing you guys to brands that I believe in and are taking action to make a positive impact, and even though it’s definitely a ((very)) long process... it’s a process that only starts with action! 🙌🏼 Decjuba has made so many incredible commitments lately about being more transparent and accountable when it comes to their supply chain and production. One of their major ‘wins’ is that this month, 100% of all of their new cotton and denim products will be made with BCI accredited cotton! I find it so inspiring when fashion brands take responsibility for our planet and make the right choices, even when that means major changes have to be made to the way they’ve always done things. 💙
So excited to continue to show you guys a bit more from our shoot in NYC! Xx
