The Sumo was launched in 1994 as a ten-seater rear-wheel-drive SUV primarily designed for military use and off-road transport.It saw great sales success, and more than 100,000 Sumo vehicles were sold prior to 1997. The Sumo was based on the Telcoline's Tata X2 body-on-frame platform with a redesigned and strengthened rear axle to adapt it to off-road use with part-time all-wheel drive with grafting system an electric control up to 60 km/h, self-locking rear differential and manual block front hubs, then eliminated in favor of the fully automatic solution. The front suspension is a double swinging trapezium and torsion bar, while a salisbury type beam rear axles with parabolic leaf springs and antiroll bar has been adopted at the rear. The front brakes are a ventilated disc combined to the rear which is a self-adjusting drum.
The engine was the same as the Telcoline: the 2.0-liter (1,948 cc) four-cylinder diesel Peugeot XD88 naturally aspirated manufactured under license by Tata Motors in India with two valves per cylinder and indirect injection with pre-chamber and 63 horsepower. The gearbox is a G76 5-speed manual.

It will get a 1.2-litre 3-cylinder turbo petrol engine under the hood producing 102 PS at 5500 RPM and 141 Nm torque at 17504000 RPM.
It'll come with a 5-speed manual transmission. They might offer dual clutch automatic transmission too.
Launch is expected around the festive season.

@tatamotorsgroup has launched the Signa 4825.TK, which it claims to be India’s first 47.5-tonne multi-axle tipper truck for surface transport of coal and construction aggregates. The Signa 4825.TK is powered by Cummins ISBe 6.7-litre BS-VI engine producing 250hp of maximum power 950 Nm of peak torque.
Honda India launched the eighth-generation Accord in May 2008 in three grades in both AT and MT − 2.4, 2.4 Elegance and 2.4 Inspire, priced from Rs 16.1lakh to Rs 18.4lakh ex-showroom.
The sedan had spacious interiors, with upscale luxury features. Interior design blended luxury with advanced functionality including 8-way power seat adjustment, tilt and telescopic steering wheel, an advanced audio system with a centre multi−selector and USB port.
Honda India had customized the vehicle with rear audio controls, rear AC vents and reading lights at the rear. Also, it was equipped with the best of safety features such as 6 airbags, ACE body and G-CON technology for enhanced safety of occupants during a collision.
The Accord was powered by a 2.4-litre i-VTEC petrol engine that delivered a power of 180BHP @6,500RPM and a torque of 222Nm @4,300RPM. Honda had given the AT a shift holding system which avoided unwanted shifting on winding roads. In March 2009, Accord V6 was launched with a 3.5L V6 was launched at Rs 26.1lakh. It made 275BHP @6,200RPM and a peak torque of 339Nm @5,000RPM made it the most powerful Accord ever built.
Updated version of Accord was introduced in early-2011 with chrome accentuated grille, rear chrome garnish and redesigned front bumper. It also got steering mounted cruise control system, wooden panel, ORVM with turn indicators, jackknife key and sunroof in this update.
