You are right! Working out from home is a TERRIBLE idea! Who’s gonna stay accountable? Who’s going to stick with it? It’s just for mom’s that stay home! It’s too this! It’s not enough that! I won’t lose weight/gain muscle/[insert any excuse]! Whether you believe me or not, this pic was NOT staged! She pulled out my 2 pound weights and did this herself! The sign just happened to be laying there after I took a pic with it! It says ‘I WILL NOT STOP POSTING MY AT HOME WORKOUTS, THEY MAY INSPIRE PEOPLE...’ after @dudewithsign and @usweekly posted about the new at home craze!
When I say these workouts changed my life...it hasn’t been just about ME! My kids ask about doing workouts with me (although I get to too early most days for them to join in😜). We do yoga and sometimes partner workouts I have access to together. And they see me! They see me eating healthy. They see me moving the weight around after my workout. They see my husband and I workout on Saturday and sometimes Sunday... I am leaving a legacy. We are ALL leaving a legacy. Which one would you like to leave?
Y’all, this quarantine may or may not end anytime soon. Social distancing may or may not be a thing of the past in a month. No one knows. I DO know that if you want your clothes to fit when you DO want to get out and about you are gonna have to STOP the mindless eating and start moving your body! Go for a walk, clear your mind. Do some yoga to calm your spirit. Punch out the aggression like I have the last couple weeks! Learn how to lift weights. Try something new!
My virtual gym is STILL open! We aren’t going anywhere! Quarantine or not! I am still enrolling for this kick butt boxing program I’m doing currently. Afraid of making the financial commitment? I understand and I got you! Times like these make me believe that this passion is EXACTLY where God has intended I land❤️ My heart is ready for you, all you gotta do is comment on this post for info or send me a message! I believe so BIG this is where you are supposed to be too😘 #theyarealeayswatching#teachthemyoung#leavingalegacy#athomeworkouts#gamechanger#virtualgymisopen#10rounds#athomeworkoutsdowork
My expressive girl loving on our new Olive Egger and Lavender Ameraurana chicks from @sadiegirlfarm. She is loving the chicks so much more than she did last year, swipe to the third picture to see an unimpressed baby Ivy and baby Goldenrod.
✨One of our projects while home, was finally cleaning and fixing up this unused side of our house 🏡 once it was done the option of a raised garden just blossomed! 🍓🥦✨We are so excited, especially McKenzie to actually have a garden! She even promised to eat everything she grows 🤩🥰🥬🥒 what has been some home improvement or organizing projects you have used this time to complete?
Trapping season is coming to an end. What was a half decent winter with cold temps and snow for once went to horrible conditions so fast. The snow never did set, it went from fluffy powder to warm wet soft snow just like that. The hills turned brown quick. We waited for a decent weather window with below freezing temps to fly up and close our traps. By the time we reached them it was already above freezing. Flying through mist and fog was a challenge but I never had such a hard time landing and taking off. We almost flipped over on almost every landing. We left home light not knowing what the conditions were going to be like. Every takeoff we would get close to lift off speed then get dramatically slowed down by slush. We aborted takeoff a few times to find parts of the lake with the lease slush or standing water. Penetration skis are not ideal skis to have but they work for Bethel because we don’t have a ski strip and normally we have a lot of crusty snow or mostly ice. One day I would like to test the straight skis. I have them but I don’t like the idea of overflow and no power parking on the river or lake. I’m tempted to go back on Bush wheels but I would like to at least make one trip to fish monster Yukon pike. Anyway we had an amazing season. As always we learn as we go. We did not catch any wolves but we have great ideas for next season. We ended up with 11 wolverine, 4 lynx, and a few fox. Thanks to my partner @moedee04 and all who made this a successful trapping season. Trapping Alaska style via ski plane was amazing. Hopefully this coronavirus pandemic comes to an end soon. Stay safe everyone!
Thanks God for art!
All these year spent studying art and collecting media are paying off in #lockdown
Watercolour, inks, pencils, acrylics, oil pastels, crayons...I have them all!
I have enough paper to allow us to do art until summer comes!
Today lesson was blow painting with straws, using professional dr ph martin's concentrated watercolour. The colours are super radiant. Never save on art!
Some moments, I feel like I’m handling this extra time at home swimmingly and that it’s a blessing in disguise. Others, I turn into Miss Trunchbull and cause the kids to flee to their closets for safety. 😬 Today was a good day, so I’m going to revel in it. We decided on a whim to turn homeschool into Hogwarts and it reminded me that imaginative play and magic lessons are every bit as important as academic learning. ✨
