The May 28, 2020 @adagioteas#CommuniTEA is a fandom blend: Babe in the Woods. It’s a low caffeine #whitetea blended with #rooibostea . ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
If you read my reviews often, you’ll know I’m always wary of any blend with red rooibos, but I’m starting to learn that the more it’s blended, the more it’s palatable. Upon opening the bag, I was hit with the refreshing aroma of spearmint and candy canes. The distinct rooibos smell came through just a tad when brewed, but the mints still won over. The flavor is pleasantly sweet with an unusual blend working well with each other. The citrus lemon gives a slight tang and opposed to clashing with the minty bite, the blueberries seem to act as the mediator of these usually conflicting flavors, bringing a soft, fruity note. The teas themselves pair well with the other flavors, all in all creating an unexpectedly good cup of tea.

Tttttthrowback ttttthursday to shortly before the UK lockdown, when I was enjoying some Maojian green tea after returning from a supermarket outing which was more of a tour of empty shelves. . .
It's been 74 days since I took this picture. In some ways it feels like forever ago, but it also feels like t'other day. Had a lot of conversations lately about how hard it is to differentiate between experiences when they all occur in the same conditions. . . .
But I hear Greggs is reopening soon so that's good 🤣❤️ . . .

A gentle reminder of our award-winning Harvest Apple Blend.
It’s reminiscent of long sunny walks through the orchard and delicious bites of freshly baked apples.
The crisp flavor of orchard apples combined with aromatic spices is a heavenly match.
It pairs well with cheddar cheese or toasted almonds and best served as a dessert replacement or caffeine free alternative. Try it cold or hot!

Tea for three today, sipping a rich and chocolatey Vietnamese black tea. It’s so sweet and satisfying....ok, I possibly drank all three cups. Ok, I definitely did...and then I may or may not have started slurping from the sharing pitcher...it’s just one of those days.
I want all the tea! Who’s with me?

After a long weekend I reached for a reviving bowl of matcha to fuel my day. At first I thought it was #matchamonday but nope, it’s Tuesday! Hence the need for something to clear my mind an help me focus.
I tried a sample of Hagi Paradise Specialty Matcha from @saihojimatcha. It was a velvety blanket of umami goodness. Vegetal, savory and sweet, with a luscious richness. I slurped happily and a little loudly... How is everyone holding up today? What are you sipping to guide you through the day?
Last year, Philadelphia's best drink maker turned out a tea mocktail worthy of [insert your favorite fancy rooftop bar here].
Feel free to salivate:
Turbinado simple infused with puffed sweet rice and steeped with Gao Wen, our roasted dianhong—"Yunnan red"—tea (a western Chinese take on black tea for us statesiders). The result is a multiplex syrup layered with the rich floral nuances so unique to dianhong. Stirred into sparkling water with a dash of kaffir lime bitters from @montanafarmacy and garnished with wildflower.

Fancy sushi calls for #japanesegreentea so since the best beloved has turned another year older (and perhaps another year wiser) I decided to #coldbrew the rest of my (gifted) sample of @mastersteas Shincha Gyokuro.
Oh, and we broke out the fancy #teacups while we're at it.
I think this is the first time the best beloved almost enjoyed a #gyokuro - although he still says it tastes like seaweed. Cold brewed I think this one is more green beans than fresh peas, with a bit of something that might be asparagus.
