Today’s the day! 🎉🎉🎉 We officially put our charming modern farmhouse on the market! Our home that we built just 2.5 years ago is FOR SALE. And I’m not sure if I should have a panic attack, be overwhelmed with joy, cry or start packing? 🤣 what I’m trying to say, is I have so many emotions about selling our home, but the biggest emotion I have is happiness. .
I’m so excited for the next family that gets to enjoy it, and I’m beyond thrilled about our new property and building another home because y’all, designing and building homes are my jam! The emotions just come from all that Kenny and I put into this place, all the sacrifices we made, all the risks we took, all the late night talks by the fire pit with wine trying to plan and figure out life.
Then I think about all the work we put into it, planting all the trees on one of the coldest days in Texas , trenching on blazing hot days, laying and gluing water pipe for what seemed like miles, getting the pastures up to par and getting rid of all those dang stickers that were so abundant that it finally became a joke with where we would find them in our home and clothes (cough* undergarments cough*). And that just scratches the surface of what we have done with this property. .
It’s crazy to think of all the life, adventure, hardship, and learning we did in this short amount of time moving to Brenham, living in a tiny house, building this home & all the projects in between. We feel so lucky to have experienced all of it and with every move, we say lots of prayers asking the Good Lord to guide us into the next phase. I stopped worrying about where my life would end up about 3.5 years ago and left it all up to God, story for another time, but I’m so utterly happy with where He has taken us and I really can’t wait to see where this next phase takes us. .
I’ll share more about why we’re moving and the new property we bought and started working on. But for now, I’m embracing the fact that we finally took the jump and listed our house!
