Dreaming back to our time in this residence 🌴
We are currently in our comfy’s, restricted to the surrounding walls that is our family home in the UK. Watching the world go by through the means of news and social media
Every day seems to become more of a routine, however... Every day we count ourselves LUCKY!
Is anyone else going to absolutely never take anything for granted ever again?

Exactly one year ago I surprised the love of my life @WanderlustChloe with this cheeky proposal in Thailand! A LOT has happened in a year - far too much to go into here - but this still gives me all the feels. Make sure you head over to Chloe's profile (or to my Stories) because she's done the cutest video of our proposal and I promise it'll makes you smile. Because we all need something that makes us smile at the moment! 💗

Phuket, a rainforested, mountainous island in the Andaman Sea. -
Railay - yes, my absolute favourite place in Thailand. Located in the Krabi region next to the village of Ao Nang, Railay can only be reached by boat, as there is no road leading there and it is separated by huge rock walls and a dense jungle... And yes, there are no roads there either, only dream beaches, sweet cafés and restaurants with a view of the sunset... as soon as the sun goes down the reggae bars come to life - chill, relax and enjoy life.
How was everyone's weekend? For us, our weekends look much different than they used to. This time of year, we usually love finding outdoor patios where we can have beers or dinner with friends, but it will be awhile before we can do that kind of thing again. Now our weekends are filled with Netflix, tackling projects around the house (that we have been putting off for years 😆), and daily walks around our neighborhood. Yesterday was one of the most beautiful days we've had so far this year, and all my neighbors were out in their yards. Eventually we were all having beers "together" from our front yards. For the first time in weeks, I finally filled my craving for socializing and I went to bed with a full heart.
Even in hard times like this, it's important to find ways to be part of a community even if it isn't in person. We've all heard about the singing, clapping, and playing music from balconies. Here in Nashville, many musicians are playing on their front porches for everyone to hear. Neighbors are dressing up in werid costumes and walking or riding bikes through the neighborhood hoping to spread smiles everywhere they go. Maybe your community is your group of people here on Instagram. Whatever or wherever it is, find a community that lifts you up and brings a little extra joy to your life. Together we are stronger and together we will get through this ❤️

Thailand serie is about to begin! 2 weeks in Thailand was amazing and I got to explore more than I could have ever imagined. This trip was also one of the most stressful vacations ever and I think everyone knows why. My original plan was to fly from Thailand to the Philippines but not everything went as planned and I spent 2 weeks in Thailand and kept reading the news every single day. I was so ready to fly back home as soon as possible but fortunately I was able to return to Finland on my original flight and I had no problems with it. I hope everyone have returned home and are safe now.
So I hope I can inspire your future Thailand travel plans because I have amazing secret places to share! This photo is from my first hotel named ”Amara Bangkok” where I spent 3 nights. One of the most spectacular hotels where I have ever been, so of course I had to take couple stunning pictures of this infinity pool. I usually look for the last minute hotel deals and if I’m lucky enough I get to enjoy luxury places like this Hotel. The sunrises were amazing every morning and I miss so much swimming in this beautiful pool. One of my photography goals was to get a stunning picture of King power Mahanakhon (pixel building) and i think this is an incredible spot for a perfect picture. Do you agree?? .
I can’t wait to show you how everything I experienced in Thailand! Stay tuned <3

Elephants are symbol in the Thai way of life ❤️🐘 #elephantjunglesanctuary we met some rescued #asianelephant cared by Karen Hill-tribe village there mission is to provide proper health care and a life of freedom that they truly deserve. At #elephantjunglesanctuarychiangmai they adopt a strictly no riding policy。This was one of the most memorable experience in my life.

While in #bangkok we decided to visit this dazzling Buddhist temple #watarun also called the “ #templeofdawn ” . What makes the temple particularly unusual is the origin of its tiles: they were originally broken bits of Chinese dishes that were salvaged from a British shipwreck. The found porcelain pieces were then crafted into ornate flower petals and embedded into the prang to produce a glittering effect under the sun.✨

The travels of 2020 were short lived, but this was for sure one of my favourite moments so far! Myself and @thefreedomcomplex headed down here one morning with absolutely no idea when the trains would pass. It was only when we were greeted by a local lady living beside the tracks, who happened to speak perfect English and even emailed me the train timetable, that we realised we'd have to return the following morning. While the places I've visited in the past may be beautiful and interesting, it's always the people I meet along the way that make it all that much more memorable. Have you met some unforgettable people on your travels? I'd love to hear your story down below! 🚆🌳

How can you help?
We’ve been getting a lot of questions from you asking how you can help us in this very challenging time. One of the biggest ways you can help us is to book a stay! A deposit of $200 USD holds your reservation and once we have returned to traveling and going about our daily lives, we can book you for a week-long stay, depending on your schedule and availability on our side. This is an excellent way to help as your deposit will have a significant impact on helping with the 10 elephants we currently have in our care, as well as with the local community. And as we approach our 1 year anniversary this coming Wednesday, what better way to celebrate with us than to book a stay and have a visit to Never Forget penciled in on your calendar? You’ll have so much to look forward to as a week with us affords you the opportunity to connect to nature, learn about endangered Asian elephants and our planet, eat delicious food, expand your horizons and to play an integral role in helping to make our planet a better place.
For more information on our visitor program, please check out the link in our bio and have a listen to our visitors, Lara and Dionne. We look forward to hearing from you and to seeing you at the project soon! Thank you so much for your support!
With so much going on in the world, it's easy to forget we’re still in the month where we celebrate women and all of their accomplishments. The history of highly-important women runs deep in Thailand, and their contributions are as wondrous and diverse as themselves.
