A lovely afternoon on a local pleasure lake with my good friend @chriselden13 Some nice hard fighting carp and plenty of laughter, especially at my rubbish angling skills, when I got smashed up in the reeds 😂👌👍🎣🍻
🤔It doesn't have to look a certain way... it should feel good... it might take a little time... it will take some self-love... and it might be mellow, or it could be bouncy... but MOVE your body every day. It IS important. 🖤
52 years of space travel advancement . I'm extremely proud during times like these. If you weren't able to watch, @spacex launched its first crew using the Falcon 9 platform and the Dragon crew capsule. We haven't launched our own crew using American technology and American companies since the last space shuttle flight almost a decade ago. Not only that, this was the first time a crew was launched using equipment other than @nasa equipment and also the first time a crew was launched using reusable rockets. THIS is what this country is about. This type of advancement encompasses the true essence of what this country was built upon.
As much as I like me switches and lights(same reason why I love servers and analog audio boards) you can't deny the dragon crew capsule looks like something out of the movies.
1) Apollo Capsule, 1968-1977
2) Space Shuttle, 1981 to 2011
3) Dragon Crew Capsule 2020
My latest read 📖
I have a HORRIBLE habit of starting new books and jumping to another one before finishing.
7 books in my nightstand right now 😬
I told myself that until I finished this one, I would not read another, and it was so worth it!
If you’re looking to revolutionize your faith and the way you experience God and Heaven, this book is 🔥🤯 I wouldn’t describe it as a feel good book... Many times in reading it, I felt soooo challenged and uncomfortable, and I know it can be seen as controversial.
But I will say, that my experience and connection to God, personally and supernaturally has been influenced! #thatswhatitsallabout
I will forever have a different and more open lens in Faith because of this book!
My intention was to film a follow up laundry room video, because well....it’s a mess.
BUT, I think the Lord has other plans. Over a year ago the Lord began to prick my heart and it made me ask the question: “but at what cost?” Hence the name.....The At What Cost Blog.
John 10:10 keeps coming up in different places for me this week. I’ve talked a little bit in a few different videos over on the YouTube channel about the idea behind the name and this whole “reclaiming abundant living” business....but, I don’t know that I’ve done a good enough job really explaining why I have felt lead to share this message and my hope for the Blog, the YouTube channel, and right here on IG. So rather than talking about laundry, I think I’ll talk a little more about the reason all of this has come about.
So, be on the look out tomorrow for that...and maybe I can get up enough gumption (and my kiddos won’t go coo coo for coco puffs) and I’ll do the laundry video too.
Week 6 Day 3! That was seriously sweaty and a big challenge but we had FUN! Seriously, we are not boxers - we do not have perfect technique, we couldn't fight in a ring, we probably aren't even punching right.... but WHO CARES? We keep moving, laugh a little, sweat A LOT, and cheer each other on.
Happy Birthday our Xavier! 5 today 🥰
We were meant to be staying in a caravan for the weekend after running @edinburghmarathonfestival and going to Edinburgh Zoo. Instead, we Hokey Cokey’d and Conga’d around our house with some fantastic family and friends on zoom. All went well, Xavier said it’s the best birthday he’s ever had 👌🏻 oh and their first strawberries have turned red and were ready to eat 🍓 that’s a birthday bonus. Now I’ve got to socially distance myself from the birthday cake 😂
A brilliant day, the marathon and zoo will wait. #birthdayboy#lockdownbirthday#lockdownparty#birthday#5today#edinburghmarathon#thatswhatitsallabout

Whipped cancer’s ass 🍑
Jings - you’ve got to be patient: not quite like waiting for brioche to rise! Finally had the first tests months since the op & radioactive treatment last summer.
Mille mercis to all of you fabulous friends who’ve been so supportive - you know who you are ❤️ This was taken while touring the lab with chocolatier, pâtissier extraordinaire and friend @christophe.roussel.labaule last June while on pastry jury duty with the coolest, most incredible French team. Happy moments indeed and blessed to have you sweet souls in my life 😃
Mile high views from Beech Mountain.
There were a lot of takeaways and handful of “firsts” from my introduction to the Triple Crown Enduro Series. I am continuing to push myself on the bike and seeing where I stack up amongst some extremely talented riders is very humbling and extremely inspiring to push harder. I ended up on the board in the Pro Men’s class and ultimately that’s what I felt was realistic and what I was shooting for.
The best part is that it is fun. It’s fun scaring the shit out of myself. It’s fun overcoming huge obstacles that stand in the way of a faster stage time. It is fun taking a digger and dusting yourself off, pushing back up the hill to give it another try. It is fun seeing just how fast the competition is. It is fun knowing I have so much to work on and knowing just how fun the process will be.
Do I see myself ever being at the top with some of these guys? I honestly don’t know. But what I do know is it’s fun going fast, it is fun getting faster, going bigger, and feeling more confident on the bike. This shit is fun.
