We wish everyone love 💓 as we struggle through this journey together. Here in Switzerland it seems #mothernature is throwing everything she has got at us to make us feel better. Our walkies in the last few weeks have just been so pretty❤️ #happysunday
We took this photo exactly one year ago. Now that we are not able to go to the beach due to the coronavirus, we look forward to the beautiful summer days we can enjoy this lovely fellow playing in the surf again!
#Hike19 was at Opal Creek Trailhead a super popular hike in the summer time since it’s pretty easy to get to the beautiful water. I’m happy I finally did this iconic hike back in early March. You mostly walk along a forest road and you mostly walk along the creek, see old mining equipment, and even a waterfall. I actually prefer the harder hikes in the area. The road is really bad with big pot holes so 4WD and high clearance are recommended. We hiked about 6 miles with 600’ elevation gain. ⠀
“where da heck did all this white stuff come from??”
- probably geo in this picture
- also probably me when it inevitably snows in denver in May.
do you guys also think that quarantine feels like the week between christmas and new years? businesses closed, sweatpants are acceptable whenever, and I don’t necessarily leave the house for days at a time. except this isn’t just a week but who knows how long 🙃 luckily the weather is much more pleasant now than it would be in late december and the sunshine in the forecast and flowers starting to bloom are bringing me joy. we just got a hammock for the front porch (see my story) and it’s amazingly comfy and relaxing. even if it’s just in our yard instead of up in the mountains, I’m sooo ready for tank tops, flip flops, and soaking up some sun.
Lights were amazing this morning. I should start to bring my camera along again.
Starts to feel like Spring with all the birds singing their heart out. Or maybe they were just swearing at me because I disturbed them.

Hello. What do we have here? Just a Rosie popping in to say hi. Peep that little mustache!
You guys, I’m going to be honest, I’m super bummed. Minnesota got some disappointing news yesterday. The twin cities are officially closing all the beaches, parks, parades, festivals, etc. for the whole summer. Obviously I know it’s for the good of the state (and country) and all the people but MAN. No beaches all summer? I’m completely heartbroken. I’m telling myself that at least our trails are still open (for now), and I’m grateful that we are still able to go outside. I think the hardest part of quarantine/social distancing has been telling myself that it’s totally okay to feel all the feelings about our favorite things being cancelled but not letting myself get too caught up in it all. I’m just rambling at this point, honestly!
Tell me your favorite corny pickup line to cheer up. I’ll start: Are you a parking ticket? ‘Cause you’ve got fine written all over you.
I can’t even with those teef 😂 this is the closest thing to a human grade smile I’ve caught Everest doing on camera. I also love that she’s chilling in a big old pile of snow — probably the reason for her smile
My goal this weekend is to take some new photos — I’ve hardly taken any since our last hike a few weeks ago and why not capture moments from this quarantine because it’s become such a significant part of all of our lives. I have a feeling it’s gonna be tricky since we have such limited space to work with in and outside of the RV but hopefully Ill think of something fun 😂
