Dad and I were invited to attend a United Way fundraiser at Pierce -Couch law firm in OKC last week. We had a great time for a very good cause. And they gave us an awesome gift bag with the largest sack of dog treats I have ever seen just for me to come and get loved on. . .pretty sweet gig! And the coolest part was I got to meet Ryker, the boy, and dad took a Ryker and Ryker photo...it was very confusing with two Rykers in the room. #unitedway#therapydog#therapydogsofinstagram#bernedoodle#bernedoodlesofinstagram

Happy Therapy Dog Tuesday! 🐶🐾❤️ Hard working therapy dogs taking a well deserved break and getting some love from the @northwellhealth staff at last Sunday’s @nyrangers 5K 😃 We had a great time supporting and cheering on the runners in this annual 5k race for charity! It was a very cold day and 1500 people still turned up to run! 🙌🏻 All proceeds raised from this race are shared evenly between select beneficiaries, the @gardenofdreams and the Northwell Health Foundation. ✨ #baileyandcharlie .
Got to spend my morning with my good friend at @colinpowelles_fcps. We read a book about a skunk! My friend has been working on building new friendships and relationships with fellow classmates and staff. It's not easy being a new kids sometimes but my friend is doing great! His reward is hanging out with me!
I really like visiting my friend and the amazing staff at CPES!
Getting ready for some finals stress relief this afternoon at Johnson & Wales University! Come out for Dogs & Doughnuts to destress with belly rubs and tail wags before your exams. Good luck studying JWU students! 📚🤓🍩🐕
We 💜 the fact that our social media feed can’t keep up with the pace of our programming. These shots are from our visit with the @emorypvc about two weeks ago. Thank you to these wonderful students and our amazing volunteers Kim and her therapy dog Ginger.

Last week some of our dogs and volunteers visited The Lyceum Theatre. No, they weren't auditioning for parts in The Lion King! They were there to cheer up the front of house staff after an especially stressful time. Obviously the dogs were total stars and had a magical effect. Well done to Hotspur the red setter, Alice the labrador, Daisy the cavashon, Ziggy the cokerpoo, Gunner the GSD and their fabulous owners.
🐶 Did you know our sweet Buddy Astro is not just a pet? He has a very important job as a therapy dog at our office and has received special training since he was 9 weeks old to earn his certification! ❤️ 📝 Therapy animals are specially trained to provide affection and comfort to people in a variety of settings, such as hospitals, nursing homes, and dental practices. Numerous studies have investigated the benefits of therapy animals on people's mental and physical health, and their ability to reduce anxiety and stress, along with comforting people. (Of course, if you have a pet at home you already know this! 😍) 🦷 Maintaining a safe and comfortable environment for ALL our patients is very important to us. If you would like Buddy to be absent on your visit for any reason, it’s not a problem at all! Please just let us know so we can make sure he doesn’t disturb you. If your family is interested in meeting Buddy, please request him when you schedule your appointment so we can confirm his availability. (There is no fee to enjoy Buddy’s company! ☺️) 🔎 The Centers for Disease Control reports that there is no evidence to suggest that animals pose a more significant risk of transmitting infection than people; therefore, dogs do not have to be excluded from such areas. And we stay extra vigilant about clinical hygiene with a therapy dog in the office. However, it is important to consider your comfort level with dogs and the type of procedure that is being completed. Your family and Dr. Kwak can discuss and decide if Buddy can accompany during your child’s treatment. .
We love to see our Volunteer Therapy Dogs enjoying some downtime at the weekend.
Here is Mimi – looking as happy as can be – enjoying a run in the park. Mimi is from Brighton and is a rescue dog.
She is looked after by owner Hannah and has puppies who have recently qualified to become Canine Concern therapy dogs.
