You've probably all seen the news regarding the bush fires and how the smoke haze affects Sydney 🔥 Yesterday was a literal catastrophe day. The whole city was covered in a fog of smoke. If you swipe left you can see what it looked like at my beloved Milson's Point. You weren't able to see to the other side, which is the weirdest thing ever if you have been here as many times as I am now and you're used to blue skies and pretty views of the Harbour bridge, skyline and the Opera House ☀️.

I've read somewhere that the air polution was 13x higher yesterday than on the worst day so far. If I tell you, you couldn't breathe yesterday I mean it. I was lucky enough to find a breathing mask that morning after it being sold out the past few days but my lungs had still hurt from it 😷.

Today it's definetly a lot better in the city, which I'm so glad about. I hope it stays this way and we don't ever have to experience a day like this again. Praying that this shitty situation for Sydney, NSW and the entire Eastcoast is over soon 🙏🏻4 11 18 minutes ago

This photo was taken a few months back, during winter in Aus. I woke up at the crack of dawn. When we got to the Opera House, it was still dark and all the city lights were still on. (They do say it’s darkest before the dawn.) It was such a peaceful time as I stood at that fence you see in the background, looked over the water and watched the night turn into day! A moment I would love to relive on one of these warm Aussie summer mornings so I don’t have to freeze my a** off again hehe 😬 in any case, the cold was totally worth this shot 👌🏽 ~

The village of Samoëns is the only French resort to be classified as a national heritage site and is considered one of the most beautiful towns in France. Surrounded by beautiful mountains, with stunning views of Mont Blanc, the landscape is dotted with fresh mountain lakes and waterfalls. The medieval village used to be a thriving centre for stonemasons, and it retains much of its traditional charm and character. The narrow, winding streets are lined with beautiful buildings, and there are plenty of bars and shops, alongside a church and a beautiful town square with a lime tree at the centre. The village also has a unique, alpine botanical garden, although this is usually covered in a layer of snow during the winter. Samoëns has access to the large Grand Massif ski area, and its mainly north-facing slopes hold the snow well. The pistes link easily to Morillon, Les Carroz and Flaine, where there are some fantastic off-piste opportunities.

We’ve just come back from a lovely little trip to Germany to see my mum and her husband. The first two days consisted of rain and eating and then yesterday the sun came out and it was beautiful ☀️ Cold and crisp is my favourite kind of winter weather and as long as I’m wrapped up it nearly matches the joy of walking round in the summer sun. ♟La Namsan Séoul Tower est la deuxième tour la plus haute de Séoul. Vous pouvez avoir une superbe vue panoramique sur la ville de Séoul avec ses 236m de haut. Pour accéder à l’observatoire, vous pouvez soit y aller à pied en passant par le Namsan Park, soit prendre le téléphérique

💰Le prix de l’aller-retour en téléphérique est de 9 500₩, soit environ 7€. Le prix de l’accès à la Tour est de 11 000₩, soit un peu plus de 8€
.
🕗La N Séoul Tower ouvre de 10h à 23h
.
🌅Le meilleur moment, selon moi, pour admirer cette magnifique vue est la venue du coucher de soleil. Pour ma part, je ne suis pas montée en haut de la tour car je suis arrivée pile à l’heure pour le coucher de soleil et ne voulais pas perdre de temps et louper ce magnifique spectacle. Certaines de mes amies sont montées au sommet de la N Séoul Tower et d’après elles, la vue est vraiment incroyable. Comme moi, vous pouvez juste rester en bas de l’entrée de la tour et vous en prendrez aussi plein les yeux et gratuitement

According to people of meghalaya the nohkalikai waterfalls has a very interesting and tragic story. There was a lady called Likai who had a happy family of a husband and a sweet girl. But one day she lost her husband and was left with her daughter with no source of income. Likai had to remarry for her daughter. She started working and ultimately she could not spend much time with her daughter. So when she used to come back home after work she used to spend as much time as she can with her daughter. .
Her daughter needed constant attention and so she could not give attention to her husband which he thought he deserved. He was so jealous of her daughter that one day he cold bloodedly killed her daughter and cooked her flesh after throwing away the head and bones to hide all traces. .
Likai was very hungry when she came back home from the work. She saw that no one was at home and the meal was prepared by her husband. She ate the meal. She had a habbit of eating betel leave after her meal. While she was cutting the betel nuts and leaves she found a severed finger near it. Likai realized what had happen in her absence and went mad with anger and grief. She swung a hatchet in her had and killed her husband and started running towards a waterfall and jumped to death as she could no longer bear the thought that she unknowingly ate her own daughter. From then the waterfall where she jumped from was named Nohkalikai Falls.1 187 6 hours ago

Completely isolated from civilization we spend 2 nights in the middle of the jungle with @yalasafaricamping_
During the day we did safari adventures and spot many wild animals, during the evening and night we enjoyed amazing food under a sky full of stars 🤩 Wow this was something else, it fascinates us to see SO many stars, we saw many shooting stars (made a wish of course!!) and even the Milky Way was visible with the eye. We shot this long exposure first of the Milky Way and then we made the picture of us sitting at the dinner table. In the edit we put the seperate photos together with this as end result. Magical memories ✨

On this particular day, I was lucky enough to see over 100 of them roaming Kadulla National Park. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

When I started planning my trip to Sri Lanka, I heard rave reviews about safaris in the country, but wasn't very interested. Spotting a leopard would be incredible, but traveling on a budget and with less than two weeks in the country, I thought it'd be better to hold off on a safari until I make my way to South Africa. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Then, I heard about the national parks- Yala in the south, and Kadulla and Minneriya in Habarana- offering half day safaris for only $60 USD. When I realised I may be able to spot these gentle giants affordably and without committing much time, I was all in. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
There aren't even words for how incredible this day was. Watching the elephants graze, cool each other down, and babies play nearby their mommas was utter magic. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

The best part about Kadulla and Minneriya? They’re touted as the best place to see elephants in the wild in Sri Lanka. Depending on the day of your safari, your guide will recommend which park is better for spotting, as the elephants tend to migrate from park to park routinely, in search of food and water.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

No need to wake up uber early. On my visit, my guide told me an afternoon safari (we started at 2 pm, finished at 6 pm) would be best to spot elephants, as afternoon is prime feeding time. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Recuerdo que nuestro primer atardecer en Brasil lo pasamos en la playa de Copacabana. Disfrutando de una caipirinha (cosa que se volvería habitual durante todo el viaje😝) y de la compañía del otro. Brasil nos sorprendió muchísimo, y Rio de Janeiro ha pasado a ser una de nuestras ciudades favoritas. Y aunque estamos convencidos que los turistas sólo vemos lo que el gobierno quiere que veas (y más si estás pocos días), la ciudad tiene un algo que, simplemente, atrapa✨

🇬🇧 I remember that our first sunset in Brazil was spent on Copacabana beach. Enjoying a caipirinha (which would become habitual throughout the trip😝) and the company of each other. Brazil surprised us a lot, and Rio de Janeiro has become one of our favorite cities. And although we are convinced that tourists only see what the government wants you to see (and more if you are a few days away), the city has something that simply catches you!🧡

Las decisiones son puertas que abrimos sin saber muchas veces a qué vamos a enfrentarnos. Son oportunidades que tomamos con la idea de mejorar marcando el camino que creemos adecuado.
Tuvimos miedo al volver del viaje, cuando no sabíamos por dónde empezar de nuevo a encarrilar nuestra vida. Aún seguimos sin tenerlo muy claro pero estamos intentando dar pasos con firmeza, buscando las puertas que mejor puedan conducirnos a la felicidad de lo más simple.

Downtown Brooklyn has quickly become a hot spot in the last 15 years with the reemergence of a vibrant cultural scene in Brooklyn mixing old with new.
