FLY AWAY ✈️🌏
Never look back
To those who said you'll never make it
To those who chose others over you
To those who don't respect you
To those who left for good
To those who broke you.

L is for Lighthearted.
If you have felt the fresh breeze of freedom on a mountain top or in the middle of the ocean, you know what I am talking about. Everything about this place wrapped my soul differently. My shoulders were not heavy from carrying the weight of memories, I was not finicky and lost with expectations from life, the things we weigh success and failure with - didn’t matter. I will go back a 100 times if I can.

Looking wistfully at my travel bucket list 🧐 Are any of your bucket list items accessible for you right now? ✈️
We've had a trip planned for ages to Alaska in late August, which is definitely one of my bucket list items!! But travel still seems so fickle here in America! Praying we are able to safely go! 🙏
Other than that, most of my bucket list is in other countries so who knows when we'll be able to check more items off! 🤷♀️

I’m a proud Jewish-American and a big supporter of Israel 🇮🇱 ⠀
It’s so disappointing and terrifying the hate that’s being spread, not just in the US, but around the world. Jews have been persecuted, slaughtered, exiled, enslaved, and massacred throughout history...it’s sad to see that in such a progressive world, society is regressing and heading towards another dark era...⠀
We live peacefully among you, we go to school with you, work with you, live next to you...we breathe the same as you...our blood is the same color as yours...we DO NOT have tails, horns, bags of gold, or ironically large noses...we look just like you and deserve to be treated with respect and dignity...We should not have to fear for our lives or hide our stars...⠀
We are human beings! Many tried to make us less than, but we are not the animals they tried to make us out to be...they have tortured us, herded us like cattle...even branded us...but we persevere. Despite what many throughout history have tried to do to us, we survived! ⠀
It is our duty as young Jews to keep fighting for our beliefs. We must keep the memory of our fallen alive by telling their stories...by sharing their stories, we prevent history from repeating itself...⠀
We must rally together in support of Israel 🇮🇱, not just for the Jews of the world, but for all races, religions, and other persecuted groups! Israel is a beacon of hope for all who have nowhere else to turn! It is a nation molded from the despair of the Holocaust and stands as a symbol for all people to know that there is a place where you will always be accepted, no matter your background. ⠀
They say that Israel is a Jewish State...and that may have been true when it was first formed. It was and still remains a safe land for persecuted Jews to make their home...But Israel is no longer just a Jewish State...it’s a democratic state where free thinkers can speak their minds and openly debate without fear, it’s a land of acceptance and tolerance where you can love who you want to love and live how you wish to live, but above all...it is a safe haven for when the world goes dark...

Which image of Iceland do you prefer, 1-2-3 or 4? 🇮🇸
The recorded history of Iceland began with the settlement by Viking explorers and their slaves from the east, particularly Norway and the British Isles, in the late ninth century. Iceland was still uninhabited long after the rest of Western Europe had been settled. Recorded settlement has conventionally been dated back to 874, although archaeological evidence indicates Gaelic monks from Ireland, known as papar according to sagas, had settled Iceland before that date.
The land was settled quickly, mainly by Norwegians who may have been fleeing conflict or seeking new land to farm. By 930, the chieftains had established a form of governance, the Althing, making it one of the world's oldest parliaments. Towards the end of the tenth century, Christianity came to Iceland through the influence of the Norwegian king Olaf Tryggvason. During this time, Iceland remained independent, a period known as the Old Commonwealth, and Icelandic historians began to document the nation's history in books referred to as sagas of Icelanders. In the early thirteenth century, the internal conflict known as the age of the Sturlungs weakened Iceland, which eventually became subjugated to Norway through the Old Covenant (1262–1264), effectively ending the commonwealth. Norway, in turn, was united with Sweden (1319) and then Denmark (1376). Eventually all of the Nordic states were united in one alliance, the Kalmar Union (1397–1523), but on its dissolution, Iceland fell under Danish rule. The subsequent strict Danish–Icelandic Trade Monopoly in the 17th and 18th centuries was detrimental to the economy. Iceland's resultant poverty was aggravated by severe natural disasters like the Móðuharðindin or "Mist Hardships". During this time, the population declined.
Iceland remained part of Denmark, but in keeping with the rise of nationalism around Europe in the nineteenth century, an independence movement emerged. - According to Wikipedia
Je kiffe les montagnes en été et en hiver 🗻 Looking out at the snow capped mountains ❄ I love exploring these mountains in summer as it's where I normally visit when it's covered in snow. The tracks we are hiking are the pistes we ski on in winter! 🎿 Where do you love seeing in two different seasons? #wearecorbier#lessybelles

Cafe culture was something I absolutely adored during my two weeks in Vietnam ☕️ this was my last stop on an early morning ride around town in Ho Chi Minh before boarding a flight to Chiang Mai, Thailand. I felt so fulfilled by all my solo adventures in Vietnam and was thrilled to be heading to another favorite country of mine.
As I sunk into the sofa, a puppy tumbled around in my lap, nipping at my fingers while I sipped a syrupy sweet black coffee and made facebook friends with the barista. The cafe was filled with vintage treasures, each carefully selected and lovingly displayed. Out in the back there was a garden; overflowing with blooms, an orange kitten playing in the sun. The bustle and noise of the city seemed far, far away. I was enveloped in magic.
Later that morning I, of course, locked myself out of my room when returning to collect my bags and almost missed my flight. I was in the process of looking up new flights for later on when my host saved the day with a spare key and arrived just in the nick of time for me to be whisked away to the airport and actually catch that plane 😅✈️
