This saskatoon show was definitely one for the books ! Snak is a machine on every stage he goes on and destroys every microphone he touches, and the hard work that goes in to these tours let alone everything else, thank you to snak and his amazing team for making this all happen. @snaktheripper@email@example.com@markedupevents
Yesterday I competed in my first full power competition in nearly two years. I had a bit of a bumpy week which affected game day performance, but such is life. I managed two new PRs, a couple of placings, but most importantly got to have a blast with lifelong friends. I nosed ammonia (like a fine wine) for the first time, and got to jam to Bowie on my last lift of the day.
Weight class: 56kg and under
Squat: 92.5kg (PR)
Deadlift: 132.5kg (PR)
Taiga, tundra, and coast - these three ecosystems collide around the port town of Churchill, creating a special intersection of flora and fauna.
If you were a migratory bird en route to your summer home up here, this would be the view of your landing strip(s). #nanuk2019

Canada 🇨🇦 series - The big Elk
Elk and Human children meet.
We also met an Elk family that surprised a group of people while walking in the forest. Don’t move!
Somewhere in the hues of #peytolake@banffnationalpark is my favorite color.
Last summer while we were driving through the Austrian alps to the lakeside town of Halstatt, I saw the most unusual color-textured lake that I had ever seen before. The blueness was almost creamy. I thought perhaps it was just another token of the scenery rich Austrian countryside. But jump to 2019 while I'm researching our trip to Canada, I learned that Canada also has lakes with turquoise hues and the reason for the mysterious colors is that they they're lakes filled with glacier water.
And now for a post that isn’t about flowers or copper structures. . .
Sandcut Beach, Vancouver Island. It’s a fairly quick hike down to the beach and the creek spills everywhere on the rocks, swelling and fading with rainfall. The parking lot is tiny. It was my favourite spot.⠀
The top of the waterfall was a place of reflections and a place to reflect. We couldn’t get cell reception except for what we could catch across the water, all the way from America. Not the kind of roaming that we were there to do. So we unplugged for a few days and stared at the horizon and watched clouds. I don’t remember what I was thinking about. I hope I was enjoying the blue of the horizon. (Full transparency: probably thinking about where to get fish and chips for dinner.)⠀

On #WorldSuicidePreventionDay there are two quotes I want to share with you. The first is from C. S. Lewis: -- “There are far, far better things ahead than anything we leave behind.” The second is from Ralph Waldo Emerson-- “When it is darkest, you can see the stars.” If you know someone vulnerable, listen and talk to them

"Sejauh manapun aku mengembara, keseluruhan hidup pada hakikatnya adalah perantauan. Suatu saat aku akan kembali berjalan pulang ke asal. Kembali ke satu, yang esensial, yang awal. Yaitu menghamba dan mengabdi. Kepada Sang Pencipta."
The beautiful still glacier water of Lake Louise is an amazing thing to see. Tag somebody who needs to visit this place this summer. #lakelouise #banffnationalpark 🤳Nick_fitzhardinge

Living in Canada has certainly made me appreciate the wonder of nature. I didn’t grow up in the mountains, far from them actually in the Michigan farmlands.
This lifestyle is new to both of us. And although we consider ourselves pretty adventurous and risk takers I can’t help but feel lame around most of the people we are surrounded by here. There are so many people doing absolutely crazy, death defying things in these mountains, and trying to integrate ourselves into this community is a slow process.
As we feel small compared to many of our neighbors feats around here, I have to remember that we have our own accomplishments to be proud of. Not many people can say they’ve traveled to over 80 countries while under the age of 30, have driven a truck across Africa, or dove with sea turtles in The Galapagos.
