i'm a firm believer that at some point in all of your lives, you should travel solo. it is a real honest experience. just yourself and the open road. you'll feel scared at first, but then you'll feel brave. traveling solo was a chapter of my life quite like any other and i'll always hold that dear to my heart.
(of course traveling with a partner has it's perks too 😉)
Really loving the outdoor cooking counter, it works great. It is easy to set up, pack up and stow.
To make it even greater I stopped by the metalshop yesterday and got a couple of little pieces of 18 ga stainless steel sheet, to use as swivel out shelves, for plates or bowles.
I made the counter to this size, because that's the left over material I had, from the heatshield, of the removed woodstove. I would have like it to be longer for added work space, but now having the added swivel out space makes it even better, as it is easier to handle at this smaller size, as well it would not have fit into it's current stowing spot.
No matter where you park 🚐.... make the most of every moment and space you claim for the night. 😁🏕🌄🏜🏞
This week has really made me reflect how good Vanlife reqlly is. 👍
Thanks for the support.
The longer we travel, the less we feel the need to take photos of everything. Especially, of ourselves. Especially, when you didn’t have a shower before. 🙈 I had one. And the van too, which actually nearly never happens, but we came from the coast so better to get all the salt off. Thanks for the nice photo, Karola!

🇬🇧 We present you the road that destroyed the brakes of our Lascar ... Beautiful view of the drone but less funny for us in the vehicle squeezing our butts!
Have you ever had worse? If so, we want proof.
Dirt roads lead us to the most rewarding experiences. We absolutely loved exploring Shafer Trail Road in Canyonlands. We scouted some awesome camp spots and are already looking forward to coming back to drive White Rim Road. #vadervan#canyonlandsnationalpark#shafertrail

We are still totally over the moon about our big blue steel hero being on the road again 🤗
Even a photo shoot at a field full of sun flowers in the pouring rain, couldn’t get us down (or grumpy) #positivethoughtsonly 🌻 🌻 🌻 🌻 🌻
Happy weekend to you all!
What does make your weekend start with a good vibe?
🚌 Do budoucna bychom si hrozně rádi pořídili nějakej van. Rozhodně ale nikdy nezapomene na to naše dobrodružství s timhle “velkým malým” mazlíkem.
❓Chtěli byste taky vlastní van?

This is where we parked up. What do you think of the view we had? One of the best views we've parked up too.
Waterfalls behind us and lake out the front. Couldn't have asked for more.
Pro travel tip:
✔️This spot was a minutes walk from the dam and the public toilets.
. ✔️Behind the park up is a set of steps with a little waterfall. Then leads onto a little nature trail, with numbered hides. Great if you have kids to explore. . ✔️Waterfalls all around the side of the road when driving round. Might be weather/rain dependant. .
✔️Picnic area with parking the other way from the dam. Views of the Straining Tower.
✔️Check out Park 4 night for all these spots. Great app which can help you find some great spots to pull up and enjoy a beautiful view.
✔️Coordinates of the park up 52.7630000, -3.4616600.
. ✔️Lake Vyrnwy Hotel on the other side, if you fancy a drink and dinner. .
Let me know if I missed anything. As it'll be a great excuse to head back. .
If you like this, wait till you see what we woke upto 🥰.

Today we will reach Holland! We left Spain last Saturday and have really enjoyed driving through the French countryside. Its been lovely getting a glimpse of Autumn - the beautiful colours that the trees are dressed in and the fresh chill in the air alongside the warm Autumnal sunshine...
This was my favourite parkup of the drive, its by a medieval washing place and only had room for one van. We got a bit stuck in the mud, but we are fully prepared for that now and getting out in the morning was easy.
I sat outside in the morning, on some slabs of rock that looked a thousand years old, and drank my coffee while I soaked up the sunshine. I was surrounded by birds singing and the glorious smell of earth and damp leaves.
I borrowed Dom's phone to take photos of the moon hanging fat over a field of dried corn, and I was full of joy. Life is so good, I am grateful for it all.
'Our van has 4 zones, the kitchen area, the dining area for eating and working, and bed area for sleeping, chilling and movies. It works well for us and we have space to move around without moving out of the way of each other all the time and standing on Pops. Our conservatory is the front of the van and our garden is wherever we rock up 🤣'
What's your favourite part about this van? 😍

(English below) 🇩🇪 Wir erkunden Deutschland - Auf unserer Reise konnten wir schon viele wundervolle Orte in anderen Ländern erkunden.
🇬🇧 We explore Germany - On our journey we could already discover many wonderful places in other countries. We are currently back in Germany and find out again that there are many beautiful places to discover in our home country. Here in Southern Germany we could already drive along meadows and fields and enjoy the flowers. We went for a walk in empty colourful autumn forests and found quiet places to park. Dreamlike! So it can go on until we experience new adventures somewhere far away.
