If you have busy days 🙋🏽♀️🙋🏽♀️🙋🏽♀️ you may being falling into the habit of skipping meals. I know this can come with different reasons. If we feel we need to lose weight, we might be thinking “oh, it’s ok, less calories means I’ll lose weight.” ⚖️ Or “I just don’t have time to stop. I know I need to eat. I just can’t seem to prepare.” 🤷🏽♀️ (This one still gets me now and then!) .
If this is you, for whatever reason... you will either end up mindlessly snacking, 😫 🍪🍪🍪 overeating later, or after a long period if time, your body will rebound and begin holding onto weight, losing vital energy, decreasing its immunity, and possibly having other serious health issues. 😱
TIP: start tapping in to your body’s appetite. Practice celebrating the physical feeling of hunger, and nourishing it with regular meals.
🥗 Appetite means your metabolism is working! It’s a good thing!
And if snacking has got the best of you. And then you realize it’s because you have skipped a meal, take a deep breath, and grab something with substance and macro nutrients (healthy fats, protein and carbs) yes, still eat a meal even if you’ve been snacking. It will help you reset.
BONUS TIP: Something that has really helped me is at least thinking about my meals ahead of time. If going full on meal planning is not the step you’re at yet, you can begin by thinking the night before about what you’ll have the next day. Lastly, something that has helped me is setting an actual timer in my calendar three times a day for mealtime. I stop what I’m doing, take a break, and be with my food. 🍽

✅Keep it simple! You don’t have to be a gourmet chef to be successful or etc enjoy your foods! Keep it simple and remember to keep your fave recipes for when your in a pinch and don’t know what to make!
✅ Start with healthy recipes you already know. Add new recipes when you are ready.
✅Pick a day (or two). This allows you to give yourself a solid time block in your routine to dmake your meals for the week or the next few days. For a lot of people, Sunday can be a great day because you are getting ready for the week ahead and you have more time to do so. Also, Wednesday is a popular day (split from Sunday and Wed) so that the amount of meal prep is not overwhelming, only happening on Sunday!
✅Use a calendar to visually map out your meals and meal prep. Scheduling into your week. This makes it a useful reminder and a PRIORITY!
✅Pick your meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, Snacks: however you prefer to eat throughout your dY.
✅Hit your MACROS: if you are utilizing “flexible dieting” or tracking macronutrients to maintain a deficit, maintain, or increase calories to build maximum muscle. Plan/pick your meals to fit the numbers you need! (PS kitchen food scales are a god send! Nutrition label reading skills needed)
✅Use proper contiainers for meal storage: Ideally, you want to be able to divide each part of your meal, depending on what it is. Look for something air tight with the sections. This makes for better, fresher, crispier tasting meals. (BPA free and microwaveable, dishwasher safe, freezer safe and resuable_) 🎉
