Fyrri myndin er af Bird of Prey, sem ég mokaði upp fyrir ekki löngu síðan, hefði betur sleppt því. Hin er tekin af einum glugganum hérna heima hjá mér.
First pic is of my car, Bird of Prey, which I shoveled free not so long ago. Could have saved myself the trouble. The other one is of my window, which is frozen.
⏱ 26 January 2020, Bratislava 🇸🇰 .
When I told people that I was going to Bratislava for my first solo trip, most reacted surprised and wanted to know why. Well, the truth is, I went to Bratislava because it gave me the chance to visit a new country AND also to mix Vienna into the same trip. I didn’t know that much about Bratislava before going there. But I am glad I do now! 😃What I found there was a charming and quirky city. Charming because of its picturesque Old Town, full of pastel colored churches, palaces and towers, which can all be seen from the castle on the hill 🏰 Quirky because of its futuristic architecture - such as the UFO Tower and the Slovak Radio Building -, feel good statues and turning public toilets into bars 🍻
Pictured here in the background is the Michaels Tower, which is part of the last remaining city gate of Bratislava. Not only does it look pretty from the streets, it also offers a nice view over the Old Town!
Have you ever thought of visiting Bratislava? #travelfavorita#casaboritaslovakia

⏱ 25 January 2020, Bratislava 🇸🇰 .
So here it is, the first post of my solo trip last month. First stop was to a new country: Slovakia 🤗
The Blue Church, officially called the Church of St. Elizabeth, is what I wanted to see the most in Bratislava. And boy, it sure did not disappoint! The color of the church is really this blue, and it’s one of the prettiest churches that I’ve ever seen. So pretty, that you need to book one year before your wedding date if you wish to get married here 👰
The Blue Church is the work of Ödön Lechner, who also designed the yellow high school that you can see in the background. Can you tell that it’s from the same architect? #travelfavorita#casaboritaslovakia
Labbaði 18km plús í dag með pabba og Valla, skoðuðum gömul uppgerð Ural mótorhjól og skoðuðum umhverfið í kringum Ägerisee
18 km plus walked today around Ãgerisee, checked out a garage with old Ural motorcycles with side wagon among other things.
Heimsótti Milka súkkulaðiverksmiðjuna í Bludenz. Þau eiga einnig og framleiða Toblerone sem er í miklu uppáhaldi hjá mér. Þetta er Milka beljan.
Visited the Milka factory in Bludenz on my way back, and they also make my favorite, Toblerone. This is the Milka cow btw.
You can spend months planning your itinerary, longer dreaming about a destination. But you cant predict the weather. As we found out when torrential rain throughout our whole trip to Lake Garda washed out most of our plans. The town of Sirmione was still exceptionally pretty though even in the wet and we didnt let being damp dampen our spirits. I am not good at spontaneity but this trip wa forced out of my comfort zone and actually enjoyed not knowing what was coming next. But I wont be repeating it in a hurry. I will always be a planner at heart.
Serenity now! I’m thoroughly enjoying having 3 days off + the weekend after a period of extreme stress and overtime at work ❤️ My project is officially over and it all went perfectly! I may now breathe a real sigh of relief.
And you would have seen in my stories, we also got a dog called Lissy. She’s a 2.5 year old small female greyhound who came straight from the racing track. I’ve never met such a beautiful, kind, calm, gentle, affectionate Velcro dog in my whole life. I hope we work out a way to be able to keep her.
This photo flashes back to the little Bed and Breakfast we stayed at on the Isle of Skye in Scotland last month 😍

Dagurinn í dag maður minn. Þetta er lífið
What a day to be out and about skiing. This is awesome
I realize how much I missed having my camera with me while in South America 📷 The difference in the pictures is so big. But I couldn’t have been bothered to carry it around with me on that trip at all 🙊
Now when it seems as most of my traveling will be more conventional once, I will definitely bring it with me everywhere 🧳

If you have seen my stories (thanks to all 10 of you who regularly view them 😂) you will have seen that one of my resolutions was to stop wasting money on coffee every morning. At just over 3 weeks in I have only bought one cup and so have saved over £80 (thanks @cravingtotravel). At the end of the year I hope to have saved enough to treat myself to an extra trip. Did you make any resolutions and if so how are you doing?
If you go down to the woods today you're sure of a big surprise... Walks in the woods on crisp sunny days are one of my favorite things about winter. I know a lot of you on here prefer sunnier weather and I am partial to some sunshine myself. But I do love wintry days when it's not raining (rare in the UK tbh). What do you love about winter? *featuring my amazing bag #gifted from @miatui
Scottish vibes! 🏴 Yes I used a camera phone + an Instagram filter to take this photo. Gone are the days where I travel with camera gear and use Lightroom to edit every single photo 🤷🏻♀️ It was extremely liberating to not take more than 16 photos on this trip 😂
I just got back from a trip to Germany and Scotland - this snap was taken in the beautiful #Edinburgh 🏴
We had the chance to keep exploring our last area of Oban but after consultation with @zoe_stephen, we decided to spend a few hours in Edinburgh just to get a sense of it before leaving. My interpretation is that it’s absolutely gorgeous! It’s full of beautiful buildings and feels like a vibrant city but not hectic and stressful like many other European cities.
Dengan segala kelelahan dan jadwal jalan yang tumpang tindih selama setahun kemarin, jujur ku sempat berada di titik jenuh yang sangat sangat sangat (kek gumoh gtu, sama persis kek liat mantan bahagia sama selingkuhannya #ehinigimana 😁). It's weird actually, because how can I get bored doing something that I like?
Then, I realized something, seems like I am craving for a new adventure. Kayaknya udah lama banget gtu, ga eksplore tempat baru sendirian. Judulnya bener2 sendirian, semacam me time ala Nadia.
Menikmati setiap sudut, mengabadikan gambar, memperhatikan orang sekitar, memahami budaya, menghargai setiap detik yang dilalui, memaknai sebuah perjalanan (ahelaahh belibet dah gaya ngomongnya)
Ternyata cukup lama loh, terakhir melakukan hal seperti ini Februari 2018. It was when I explore Mijas Pueblo, Spain, a beautiful Andalucian village which nestles in the mountainside with its narrow cobbled street
Owh...How I owe myself a lot, for a quite long time
Hluti af geðveikinni hérna á Egilsstöðum núna á miðnætti. Gleðilegt nýtt ár og takk fyrir það gamla
Little part of the insanity here in Egilsstadir around midnight. Happy new year and thanks for the last one
Avala is a mountain located 17 km southeast of Belgrade. Its altitude is 511 meters and make it one of the lowest mountain in central Serbia. The Avala is well-wooded with wild trees, and is partly planted with pine trees. 🌲
The emergence of a fortified city and Avali dates back to a long time ago, when the Celts lived in this area. It is believed that in Roman times there was a military fort at the top of Avala, for the purpose of observation of Singidunum, but also for the protection of mines. ⚒️
From the top of this fortified city, Avala offered a wide view of the entire area up to the Danube, which greatly benefited the Turks in their long planning for the siege of Belgrade, which they finally conquered in 1521.

During our recent Poland roadtrip we have stayed in several airbnb’s, and it would be very difficult to pick a favourite one as they were all very cozy and a home away from home for us.
We’ve been using AirBnB for 6 years now as guests (and a little less as hosts) and haven’t had one single bad experience. I think that the trick is to read carefully through the listing to choose the one that is right for you, and also through reviews in order to avoid issues. .
Also, we value very much having first hand tips from our hosts, and love to share our favourite places with our guests in Milan.
In Wroclaw we could call home this cute green building right in the center of the old town 🏠 how cool is that?!
