My workout class this morning was strictly weights - no cardio. Looooooved it🤟🏼 The gym I go to does weights only classes a few times a week & I’ve been livvvving for them😌
It’s crazy to me that a year ago I‘d just run or spin 5-6x/ week. Used to work for me but now I‘m tired of running after 10 minutes🤷🏻♀️
Last year I’d go on long runs most days to relax / clear my head but I really don’t enjoy that anymore🐒
Lately I’ve been loving a focus on strength. I really enjoying lifting. I like getting stronger. I like learning what my body can handle and finding my limits👋🏼
Love seeing my own change in mentality since transitioning towards more weight and agility work. And I gotta say, working out in a class is the only thing that gets me through🙃
Hello friends happy Wednesday! I was going to post this sweet potato bowl yesterday but yesterday was weird and today is a new day, but that just means #toasttuesday or #tacotuesday are not on trend with the day🙃 But we still like to be extra right @naturallybeingnat? This was a good ol’ sweet potato bowl that I had for breakfast the other day created by Nat!
Just got my large pot from Amazon (I did not own one😂) to make the soups I want to make for this week, so stay tuned for those dishes! One was supposed to be made last night but all I wanted after getting home was to do nothing important so that is what I did haha.
I was talking to Nat and the sweet potato bowl definitely is not the same consistency, but if you love sweet potato this might be the move for you. 🍠
Recipe: 1/2 cup mashed steamed sweet potato from @imperfectfoods, 3 tbsp of @silk cashew milk, cap of vanilla, 2 egg whites, and cinnamon. Mix those all together, and microwave on 2 30 second increments. I topped mine with @chobani greek yogurt, @nakednutrition pb powder, banana coins, @erinbakers chia granola for crunch, and cinnamon!

Let's be honest, with this crappy weather it gets harder to wake up and seize the day BUT with this view I'll be jumping out of bed any given day🐋🤙
-Tomato paste and avocado sprinkled with hemp seeds, black pepper, salt and chili flakes.

Yes I know its the most millennial thing to do but I love them - they are EASY & IMPRESSIVE!! QUICK RECIPE - ✅ Toast slices of honey wholewheat bread 🍞 ✅ Spread some whipped cream cheese and layer slivered avocados 🥑, chopped hard boiled 🥚, a crack of sea salt and freshly crushed black pepper.
✅ Garnish with Microgreens (I used my homegrown horsegram microgreens for an added crunch and freshness ) , black sesame seeds, and some pomegranate pearls (just because I had some leftovers) They definitely added a surprise pop of sweetness in the mouth.
You can ofcourse go all crazy with your topping ideas !! ☺️☺️☺️

Had this smoothie for dinner before taking off to take my husband to school. It was good, but next time, remember to make sure the cucumbers taste more fresh before you peel & freeze them. Otherwise, they leave a bitter aftertaste.
On another note, PSA: @terrasoul maca + @vitalproteins collagen peptides + a little sweetener + a little vanilla + cashew cream + optional tbsp of @silk cashew milk = the BEST caramel sauce EVAAAAAHHHH!!! Drizzled it along the sides of my jar before putting in my smoothie, as well as layered it between the flavors both today and Sunday, and mah gawsh! I really don’t miss sugar.
What’s your favorite ice cream/nice cream topping? I love chocolate, but if given the choice, I always picked caramel.

It feels like everyone around me is sick right now! To keep the bugs away we've been upping our daily dose of antioxidants. This roasted beet crostini with Greek yogurt + goat cheese, fresh herbs, almond dukkah, and a drizzle of @sambucol black elderberry syrup is so delicious and full of immune boosting ingredients! [ad]

1 baguette, thinly sliced
1/2 cup greek yogurt
4 oz. goat cheese
3 tbsp Sambucol Black Elderberry Syrup
Fresh dill and thyme, for garnish
1/4 cup almonds
1 tbsp sesame seed
2 tsp coriander seed
1 tsp cumin seed
1/2 tsp fennel seed
1 tsp pink salt, or flakey salt
15 grinds black pepper

WHITE BEAN HUMMUS 🤤 yes, that’s right - you can make hummus from other beans too! This one was super delicious - White beans, tahini, a little horseradish and some lemon juice.
I just realized that’s my third toast picture in a row - my diet’s been abundant lately, can you tell? 🤦🏻♀️😂 I used to believe I’m not a huge toast fan, but you can have them for breakfast, lunch, and dinner soooo... We have found our new favourite breakfast.
2 slices gluten free bread
1 sliced banana & 1 tbsp of maple syrup in frying pan until sticky and golden.
Spread dark roasted peanut butter on to each slice of bread
Pile in the bananas
Slice one medjool date - pop on top of the bananas
Then drizzle over a tsp or 2 of dark melted chocolate, place the other slice of bread on top & pop in the toasted sandwich machine.

Just another #toasttuesday 😍. I’m a big fan of sweet and salty combinations and this HIT the spot 🤩😋. 👉🏻 Toast topped with peanut butter + banana + blueberries and strawberries 🍓. ✌🏻 Toast topped with avocado 🥑 and a fried egg 🍳 with pink salt 🧂 and pepper 🙌🏻. Simple but delicious breakfast to make 👌🏻. .
One of the funniest trends we have these days is ‘toast.’ Gone are the days of fearing bread, as long as it’s.. toast 🤦🏻♀️
While I’m over here waiting for the beloved ‘sandwich’ to have its moment in the sun (I eat a PB&J sandwich at least 2x per week!), I challenge you to try having 2 pieces of ‘toast.’ -

My love for toast is beyond this world, so I decided to start sharing a new toast recipe every Tuesday due to #toasttuesday & hopefully inspire you to make some as well!
Starting with one of my favorites:
✨Salmon toast ✨ricotta, arugula (I used microgreens), smoked salmon, capers, cucumber & red onion.

3 slices Paleo loaf (recipe link in my stories) + @imperfectfoods avocado slices with:
top: sesame + seaweed flakes
mid: micro greens + @maldonsalt sea salt

This is a super simple combo - enjoyed by all - almond butter, honey drizzle, toasted sesame seeds and fresh strawberries 🍓
I mean, how delicious are fresh strawberries at the moment!

$8 Toast Cocktails TONIGHT and every Tuesday from 3pm to 9pm
and on Tuesday’s... we TOAST 😎💕
kicking off #toasttuesday the best way I know how - an awesome lower body workout led by the queen @haylesbeth 🏋🏻♀️, followed by some sweet + savory sourdough slices!
the real question is... which one would you eat first?
. #whatsonmyplate : two slices of toasted sourdough bread topped with
1. avocado slices + @manitobaharvest hemp hearts
2. coconut yogurt + warmed up frozen raspberries + banana slices + @beekeepers_naturals bee pollen
Makes 2 large slices of toast
for the mushrooms:
About 250/300gr of chestnut mushrooms
1 clove of garlic -crushed
1 tablespoon of olive oil
a generous splash of tamari sauce
2 tablespoons of thyme leaves
a sprinkle of black pepper
For the avocado:
1 ripe avocado
the juice of 1/2 lemon
a pinch of sea salt or pink Himalayan salt
2 slices of bread of your choice – we recommend crunchy sourdough
Start by cooking the mushrooms. Wash them and slice them. Heat up the olive oil in a frying pan. Add the crushed garlic and cook for 1 minute, keep stirring from time to time to prevent from burning. Add the sliced mushrooms, the tamari sauce and cook for about 8-10 minutes until all the water from the mushrooms her evaporated. Add the fresh thyme and black pepper.
