The Tunxi District is known for its special green tea 🍵 and we were able to try some teas during our trip through China - including the Lung Ching Superior 🍃 which is one of our green tea rarities.
The "Dragon Well" 🐉 is a traditional green tea, the secret behind this tea is revealed by looking at the brewed tea leaves. The name comes from the shape of the tea leaves - these are supposed to remind of flying dragons. Even after several infusions the tea shows its fine aroma.
Our Lung Ching Superior comes from the Tunxi Shiyan plantation. In this area the tea gardens are located on beautiful mountain slopes 🏔 and are still harvested by hand today.
The plantation is located near the city of Huangshan, which is often used by tourists as a starting point for an excursion 🚶♀️ to the famous Yellow Mountains.
The area is known for its scenery, sunsets, strangely shaped granite peaks, Huangshan pines, hot springs, snow and a view of the clouds from above. Huangshan is a common theme of traditional Chinese painting 🌄 and literature as well as modern photography. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site 🤗 and one of China's most important tourist destinations.

*shooting at a tourist place is a hactic process*
I know you all would agree to me. Getting a frame all for yourself at a tourist destination is nothing less than an achievement. We all struggle a lot in this highly competitive and discouraging social media world to get all the appreciation and attention. This thing has taken over our minds to an extent that we sometimes miss to enjoy the moment. So I though of sharing my tiny way of getting a good picture while enjoying the moment here.
1> smile : Well I know not all of you will believe that smile makes the longest distance short, but it really does. Everyone at a tourist destination will be there exploring, new to the place. As happy as you are. Smile at people, they will help you get your thing done.
2> This is not a task. Enjoy the process: This is not your job or some task you have been given, this is a part of your memories. Enjoy the process of waiting.
3> Help people click their photos: If you find someone alone and struggling to get their photos, offer to help them. Gladly. If you will help them, they will help you get your photo clicked as well.
4> Have patience: Mom says treat people the way you wanna be treated. If you want people to be patient when you are clicking your photos, be patient with them as well
5> Don’t act like you own the place when it is your turn: after waiting when you get your turn to click the photo, please don’t act like you are the only one who want a picture there. Try to finish fast and move.
These are really small but effective steps you can take. It has helped me and I am sure it will help you to get your photo with a wide smile on your face and no bitter memories.
If you wanna know the story behind this photo of mine, kindly head to my blog. You know the link is in the bio.
p.s: this one is shot on xiomi redmi mobile phone. Phone clicks can be awesome. You don’t always need a DSLR to rock.
My little one @a__e__s__h__a___ never fails to make me look beautiful no matter what device she has been using for clicking me.
Culion, a Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) 2019 official entry, received a boost recently from province and city officials.
Written by Ricky Lee and directed by Alvin Yapan, Culion was chosen to be among the eight official MMFF entries. Its inclusion was announced by Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA) chairperson Danilo Lim.
Board member Ryan Maminta on Tuesday said that the provincial board is set to pass a resolution endorsing Culion movie for MMFF inclusion in December. The resolution draft will be presented in next week’s plenary session.
MANILA — The Philippines has secured two major awards at the 2019 World Travel Awards for Asia and Oceania held in Phu Quoc Island, Vietnam on Saturday (October 12). The Department of Tourism (DOT) was hailed as Asia’s Leading Tourism Board, after a significant increase in the country’s visitor arrivals has been recorded in the past year. “We are greatly honored and thankful for this recent recognition for the Philippines at the World Travel Awards. A triumph as great as this simply could not be possible without the combined hard work from the government, industry partners, and tourism stakeholders in realizing a more upward tourism industry for the country,” Tourism Secretary Bernadette Romulo-Puyat said. Culion, written by Ricky Lee and directed by Alvin Yapan, makes it to the Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) 2019.
The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority – Manila Broadcasting Company (MMDA-MBC) announced Wednesday afternoon the full list of films competing for the “Magic 8” of the biggest annual film festival in the country.
Culion, starring huge stars such as Iza Calzado; Meryll Soriano; Jasmine Curtis-Smith; and with special participation of John Lloyd Cruz, captures the town’s significance in the world medical history.
Direk Alvin Yapan, in an earlier interview with Palawan News, said that directing the movie was a big responsibility citing the importance of storytelling in establishing “our legacy as Filipino people”. “If the aim is to be heard and to be seen, MMFF is the platform for it. People will really watch you,” Yapan said. (Photo from Culion Movie.) Click the link in our bio for more.
