Snap🔙 to the quiet streets during Parisian lockdown. Ever seen Rue Rivoli and L’arc de Triomphe like this? Paris had one of Europe’s strictest lockdowns. People were confined and could only go out with a so-called attestation de déplacement de voyage; a piece of paper that states your intention of leaving the house. Taking a walk to get some air was not allowed. Parks were closed and working out between 10 and 7 o’clock was prohibited. I noticed it made be a bit recalcitrant. At times I would carry two attestations as if I was playing ‘levend stratego’, being able to pull up the spy or the ‘maarschalk’, whatever the situation asked for. Wouldn’t wanted the cops to get confused if I would do groceries at the end of a run, while I declared to be working out.
In the Netherlands the gov’ gave her citizens strict recommendations instead of bans, somewhat more similar to our Scandinavian neighbors. The main message was ‘we are in this together, together we can overcome this, while Macron’s message was ‘nous sommes en guerre’, ‘we are at war’(and disobedience will be punished). Interesting to see that some governments communicate transparently so citizens can understand the situation and respect the measurements that are taken, while other governments prefer the old carrot and the stick.
Also, during the lockdown, the sky was remarkably clear. A Forbes article stated that the annual death toll from air pollution in France is 48,000, while Worldometers.info shows that the total deaths due to Covid-19 are 28,883 as of today.
World Economic forum says that the average person in Europe loses 2 years of their life due to air pollution, but I guess nobody would smoke if that fact would be impactful.
It seems that we humans only tend to respond to immediate threats.
Luckily more cities are fighting air pollution since findings show that high polluted areas were hit harder by the virus. France is now paying for cycling lessons and bike repairs to fight the coronavirus. Paris is adding 750km more bike lanes and cities like Bogota, Brussels and Milan are also expanding space for cyclists. If the streets were empty like this, riding a bike would be a pleasure.
I interviewed @paul a while back, he went DEEP into how he was able to build his online empire.
Here, he talks about how you can track where your leads are falling off in your funnel.
If you have a night CTR but low opt-in rate, then you need to tweak your landing page.
If you have a high opt-in rate but low conversions, then you need to tweak your VSL or the copy on your sales page.

This year, Oslo vehicles will turn 54 years old. As you can see in the second picture, Oslo Metro, which was run immediately, when it first was opened. King Olav The Fifth joined the first journey across the city. Today’s image shows the new model of vehicle built after the Vienna Type V. The first wagons of this type were introduced into traffic in September 2006. After March 15, 2010, a decision was made to use all lines exclusively by MX3000 in Oslo.
#Oslo#norway#life#midern#old#gold#gammel#tbane #traffic#line#metro#now#and#then#back#history#today#2020#1966#show_me_Oslo
