After seeing @rugby_strength_coach post about band accelerated movements and then reading a paper about loading speed increases eccentric Rfd and fascicle length (both extremely important for hamstring health) I naturally thought of doing something for my hammies
The first exercise is a single leg band accelerated modified reverse hyper and the second is a switch banded reverse hyper (rapid isometric force needed to develop). Just messed around with these today for the first time, but really liking them! Loading hamstrings through different speeds and loads is critical for health and I can see this being used in a program. @vernongriffith4 had posted something similar to the banded switch with a TRX used. 🧠

🌶 Exercises you should be doing: split stance MB rotational slams
💯 As I’ve talked about in the past, I’m a huge believer in anti-rotation core training – the ability to resist excess rotation at the trunk – due to its importance for all things health, resilience, force production, the transference of power, and performance.
⏩ While that’s all well and good, one of the components that often falls under the radar is the ability to resist rotation in a dynamic environment.
💥 When talking about high velocity movements, the importance of being able to remain strong and stable throughout the entire pillar complex (the hips, shoulders, and core) while generating power is pivotal. That’s one of the reasons why I like incorporating power-based exercises that place an extra emphasis on anti-rotation.
👉🏻 This is one of my favorites – the split stance MB rotational slam – for that exact reason. (Other effective options are dynamic chops, lifts and split stance MB rotational tosses, to name a few.) Here, the entire musculature of the core is being forced to stabilize the trunk while linking up the shoulders and hips to generate power. What’s more, the split stance component throws a hip stability element into the mix, as the hips have to work to avoid shifting, swaying, or tipping over.
✅ Why does it matter? The core’s ability to remain stable and subsequently transfer power between the upper and lower halves is not only going to protect the spine from potentially harmful rotary forces, but will also enable you to leverage the extremities to produce maximal force. If you’re all loose and can’t maintain stability during movements like sprinting or swinging a bat, you’re diminishing your ability to create and exert maximal force while making yourself more susceptible to injury. That’s because rotating excessively through the low back rather than the T-spine and hips places a lot of undue stress on the lumbar spine.
✅ When done right, remaining stable throughout the entire kinetic chain will maximize the ability to create and exert force while minimizing stress on the lumbar spine. That’s a win-win in my book!

This set up forces her to overcome inertia each rep and forces internal hip rotation to complete the movement. Great for fighters as well. #MrMindINMuscle#MJF#AAS#wIN
I get the privilege to change my veiw quite often due to the time my husband and I travel for work. We never know how long we will be in a certain area so I get pretty picky when it comes to choosing a place to park our home. We have lots of windows in our RV so the view is important. I want to wake up and feel like nature has entered right into my living room and sat down with me to have tea. I'm so grateful for this time in my life because one day my veiw will be more constant. Whatever your view is today, it's all in perspective! Choose the view you want! Choose to see what you have, with the lens of love and it will always be beautiful!
Gold Digger probably makes you think of 2 things; a woman, or Kanye West’s song. I can confirm this BBC drama is about neither. Instead, it flips the stereotypical meaning of gold digger on its head and explores the relationship between a not so wealthy young man and 60 year old wealthy woman, much to her 3 adult children’s dismay. Overall the show is slow at times, but I do love a British drama (and Ben Barnes after seeing him in Netflix’s The Punisher) and it kept me guessing so much so that I found myself watching it on my commute. Now, I ain’t sayin he’s a gold digger ...you’ll have to watch to find out on @bbciplayer
Currently resting, watching Netflix & eating popcorn @mawsome_ got from the movie theater😋 Does anyone else go to the movies just to get popcorn and take it home?🤣🙋🏻♀️ lol hope you’re all enjoying your night!
