To build a big back, you have to do a lot of different exercises and a lot of volumes. Your back is a huge muscle group, so a good workout should be exhausting. If you're not walking out of your gym wholly exhausted after a back workout, then you're not going hard enough. To increase the size and develop the shape of your back, you need to hit everything with good form.
You have to focus on the 'squeeze' and the quality of the contraction, not merely on the amount of weight you're pulling.

Krachtsport en voeding zijn onlosmakend met elkaar verbonden. Goede voeding helpt om beter te presteren en zorgt voor een beter trainingsresultaat.
Zoals de naam “krachtsport” al aangeeft, is het doel om uiteindelijk meer kracht te kunnen leveren. Vaak heeft dit als doel ook om meer spiermassa te creëren.
Tijdens intensieve krachttraining worden de spieren beschadigd. Dit klinkt negatief, maar dat is het niet. Doordat de spier een dermate zware inspanning moet leveren, ontstaan er minuscule scheurtjes in de spier (Geen spierscheuring = een langdurige blessure). Na een krachttraining gaan de spieren zich herstellen en klaarmaken voor een volgende beproeving. Het lichaam reageert hierop door na een training sterker te willen worden dan voorheen. Daarom moet er tijdens een training altijd sprake zijn van progressiviteit. #flashbackfriday to @dccxrace last year, when I lost by narrow margin on day 1, and barely made the podium day 2 after leading by a large gap the whole race. I managed to win the #parkwaycxtrophy without ever winning a race in the series.
STRUGGLING TO PUT ON WEIGHT ? TO PUT ON MUSCLE? ⁉️
There is a common theme, a lot of people seem to come to me and say they can’t put on weight no matter how much they eat and train !🤷🏽♂️
EAT MORE, TRAIN HARDER.
Now after training for 6 years consistently, and doing at least 6 “weight gaining” phases, i know my body fairly well, this is something you need to do, learn your body. 🧠
✅ Are you tracking exactly what is going into that mouth? Your calories? Protein? Carbohydrates? Fats? This is a good place to start.📝
If your consistently getting in 3000 calories per day and not gaining weight, guess what, try 3200 calories consistently for 1/2 weeks, still no gain? EAT MORE. 🍔
✅ Are you worried about getting “fat”? 🐷
Well then building muscle and gaining weight can stop right there, it is impossible to gain weight and muscle without SOME fat gain, this can be minimised by making your calorie surplus 200/300 over your maintenance calories, not 1000/2000 over.
✅ Are you actually training hard enough? 🤔
Is your face screwing up towards the last few reps? Are you pushing to failure where your muscles just cant complete another rep? If not, TRAIN HARDER, but.. don't injure yourself with stupid heavy weight that you can barely manage 1-2 reps with. ✅ Are you getting adequate sleep?💤 You grow outside of the gym, not inside it, eat your food and rest up and let your body repair and recover. 8 hours sleep is optimal, and should be your number you aim for, 6 hours IMO is absolute minimum before you start really hurting your progress. 📈
There are more variables, but here are a few common ones i see often that can easily be improved.

Thruster to overhead crusher
Aggravated a pre-existing back problem last night by overworking it with too much loaded hip hinging. Stupid result of poor preparation which will take a bit of time now to recover.
Lesson learnt though, and it will not happen again.
Some treatment later @georgecooperphysiotherapy with @sylvringhoferwebber to get me back in action quickly. Depending on how the back responds to treatment today, I may try to pack in a 30 minute high intensity cardio session this evening so I’ve at least got some work done whilst sidelined.
