Poll ... Do you like to explore cities on your own OR tour with a guide?!
We love doing a 2-3 hour walking tour when we first arrive to new city! Having a local show you the ins and outs, share rich pieces of history, and take you off the beaten path away from tourists is the best way to get your bearings👌🏻Our favorite way to do it is through a foodie tour so you get to stop along the way for a true “taste” of what the city is about!
This picture was taken on a tour in Šibenik, Croatia - looking over the city from the rooftops - not a tourist in site✨We has the best guide thanks to @journey2croatia and we get right at home! #uncorkcroatia

Beach please☀️This is a tiny slice of the expansive beach at @rwmayakoba - which underwent a major rehabilitation a few years ago. They invested $13 million to combat beach erosion and were able to extend the pristine beach over 100 feet! ✨
Their conservation efforts didn’t end there ... they planted thousands of plants to rehabilitate the local flora, installed 9 coral grids along the coast - helping to protect and foster the Mayakoba Reef - and they continue to be the change and inspire others around the world!✨
Ready to visit these reefs on the rebound? #uncorkmexico
How much does it cost?
Should be, how much can it make me?

Table for two! This is a little corner of one of my favorite hotels in Croatia, the incredibly charming @meneghetti_istria ✨Part of the @relaischateaux family, this wine country gem feels like home from the second you arrive! Croatia should be at the top of your list and I’d encourage you to set aside enough time to include the northern Istria Peninsula in your itinerary! #uncorkcroatia
“Not all those who wander are lost.” -J.R.R Tolkien
Have you ever booked a one way flight and let yourself truly wander? There’s something beautiful in getting lost exploring new places, and often times, you find yourself found✨ #uncorktheworld
Tokyo on my mind... 🇯🇵 The Park Hyatt is probably the most iconic hotel in town, reaching 52 stories into the sky. It was made famous by the movie, Lost in Translation (any Bill Murray fans out there?), and is ideally situated in the Shinjuku neighborhood. Shinjuku is the heart of Tokyo’s tourism scene with great shopping and lots to see. Let’s plan! #avdpicks#tokyo#japan#parkhyatttokyo@parkhyatttokyo

While we are on the topic of fitness ... we love a good outdoor gym, like this one at @hotelletoinystbarth! Part of enjoying a new place is getting out and exploring the elements. But when the views are perfect and you want a more dynamic workout, then it’s a bonus when you have equipment and machines outside on property! This is such a special @relaischateaux resort and it’s truly boutique with only 22 suites, each with their own full size pool! The beach club also has a pool, just incase you aren’t an ocean person💦Who’s ready for the ultimate in island life? #uncorkstbarths
Did you think all hotels in Charleston were stuffy and traditional? The Dewberry is the antidote to the old fashioned hotel. Mid century modern meets today at this hip property in city center with a rooftop bar that can’t be beat. Temperatures are warm enough to hit the neighboring beaches early in the year, too. Couples weekend away, anyone? 🌴😎🍸 @thedewberrycharleston#avdpicks#charleston#southcarolina#thedewberrycharleston

What’s your favorite season to visit NYC? Call me crazy but I love visiting in early winter❄️It’s a chance for this West Coaster to wear cute coats and boots, there’s beautiful seasonal decor all around, and there’s still perfect days of sunshine mixed in with snow flurries! Although New York is busy year round, it feels a little more calm in January while still having a buzz about town!
Which season do you prefer in the big apple🍎 #uncorknyc

Perspective is everything ... We woke up early to beat the crowds and climb the extraordinary centerpiece of Hudson Yards! This interactive artwork, known as “The Vessel” is a soaring spiral staircase meant to give new perspectives of the city and one another from different heights, angles, and vantage points. .
As we climbed 154 intricately interconnecting flights of stairs, our perspective certainly changed from top to bottom.
This pic shows a sneak peak of the new @equinoxhotels pool deck featuring “Aprés Enquinox” with their heated pool and sauna meditation barrels! #uncorknyc
Is it cold out where you are? There was a snow flurry for a minute in NYC today, so needless to say, we are bundled up to the max❄️But sunshine or snowstorm, there are a few things guaranteed to warm our heart: 1)Any film that takes place in Italy 2) A full-bodied red wine
Yup ... that’ll do it every time! Admittedly, a good cheese and charcuterie pairing will do it too🧀
Tell us something that warms your heart💕 #uncorknyc
HAPPY 1 YEAR BIRTHDAY @onewaywander_ !
I couldn’t say the exact day this project was born in my dreams, but some time around now last year, I decided to share it with all of you!
But I wanna tell you something. This “success post” isn’t going to be me celebrating how wonderfully prosperous my business has been, how I now have a perfect life, blah blah blah. In fact, it’s quite the opposite and very real...
I HAVE FAILED...over and over again. I’m still failing actually, but it’s something I’m starting to embrace. I know, counter-intuitive right? Let me explain.
I didn’t hit all my goals, not all my efforts have panned out, I’ve compared myself to other’s success and felt like poop, the project is still taking shape and form. As a low key perfectionist (read: extremely high self-expectations), there were months where I felt “if I’m just going to fail, then why even try?!” (Haha ask my friends, they’ll tell ya).
But then I look back at all I’ve learned this year. All the people I’ve met IRL and online. All the self-discovery in the works. All the invaluable experiences.
I also look back at the beginning of my 7 months solo and realize...that ain’t so different!! That was a ball of failure waiting to happen. And I did fail...many many many times 😂 Even though I knew failure would definitely happen...I still did it anyways! Despite what fear had to say. Some of those failures ended up completely defining the trip and brought out powerful parts of me that I didn’t realize existed.
If I can leave you with anything, it’s this: DO WHAT YOU WANT EVEN THOUGH YOU MAY FAIL. It’s scary and terrifying, but fail, please (and not just so I feel better haha 😂).
Whether it’s applying to that new job, embarking on your first solo adventure, starting a business, or even asking that special someone out...act knowing failure will happen and that’s okay. When you act despite possible failure, you’re loosening the grips of fear over your life. You’re telling fear, F*@$ YOU! And your giving yourself a chance to BE YOU. Who’s to say what could happen 🤗
Thank you everyone for your continuing love!
