My number 1 tip when going to Yellowstone is to bring your own food. I can't emphasize how important this is because it allows you to truly enjoy the nature and eat while enjoying nature. Food options in Yellowstone are very limited and can take quite a bit of time... if you want to enjoy nature and the animals to the fullest. Bring your own food!
⚠️Do you know about this island whose grounds saw some 12 million immigrants pass through its small patch of land on their way to a new life from war, famine and persecution?⚠️
📍National Museum of Immigration, Ellis Island
The primary gateway to the American Dream, today Ellis Island is home to the National Museum of Immigration. The island served as the US' major immigration station from 1892 to 1924 during which an estimated 12 million immigrants passed through and obtained permission to enter the United States. The museum provides glimpse of the era gone by and visitors can learn about one of the largest human migration in history through photos, artifacts, and interactive displays. While most of the first- and second-class passengers who sailed in were checked only briefly on board their ships and allowed straight into the city. It was primarily the third-class passengers who had medical and legal checks with inspection process lasting 3-5 hours at this place!
Do hop onto this island while visiting nearby Liberty Island to see the iconic Statue of Liberty.
