Quarantine day number : who knows.
We didn't know we were going to be assigned to remain home when we purchased this variety pack of Dr. Teal's Epsom salts. We only knew that we were looking forward to relaxing foot soaks. If only we knew then... Still, here we are with a variety pack of Epsom salts and no idea which relaxing soak sounds most relaxing. The struggle is Teal!
It's definitely a strange & difficult time globally right now. But today, the sun was shining, flowers were beginning to bloom, the trees were budding & the birds were chirping. I think it's safe to say Spring has sprung. Stay positive friends 😊
. #tbt to exploring the beauty of Keukenhof during tulip season. Cedric gnome was in awe of how many floral varieties there were. 🌷🌷 Sad to hear they were unable to open this year.
We don't know what day it is, when we last left the house, or what we're doing 10 minutes from now, and that's okay.
We're making the best of Hawaii's stay at home order, and really enjoying the process of watching our sourdough starter come to life.
Because of size limitations on our starter vessel we have to remove some starter dough to feed it more flour, water, and honey. So we removed 1 cup worth of starter and added 1 tsp of honey, half tsp baking soda, and quarter tsp of salt, and whipped up a short stack of pancakes.
We like ours with peanut butter and strawberry jam.
What do you like on your pancakes?
Don't let the current bleak situation get you down. Search for that colour, that ray of hope, that small thing that can put a smile on your face & lift your heart. Glib found something fun to do with this origami piece I made.
I am very excited to introduce my new gnome friends - Thing 1 and Thing 2 - who have travelled from Colorado Springs (USA) seeking adventure in Australia. They have already spent some time in isolation, so they are now ready to embark on their new adventures downunder.
Saturday at home. We like sipping tea throughout the day, but don't always enjoy taking the time to prepare a single cup. Instead, we like to conserve energy by brewing a large pot of tea and filling a large hydroflask. Today we're indulging in a honey lemon hibiscus tea from the Hawaiian Islands Tea Company. Yum!
The joys of staying at home. Tonight we had tacos for dinner, featuring golden rice. We made it with jasmine rice and a bunch of spicy spices, like turmeric, ginger, cayenne pepper, and spicy hot mustard powder.
You see that golden color? That's how you know it's good. Instead of water, we used some of the ham hock broth we had leftover from Wednesdays split pea soup. That split pea soup was so delicious we ate it all up before we thought of taking pictures. #oops
Day 1 of lockdown in Hawaii. Here's a friendly money-saving tip. Before you toss a nearly empty bottle of dish liquid, first add some warm water then pour it into a spray bottle with some rubbing alcohol. Now you have an all-purpose, budget-friendly cleaning solution!
Passando pra contar que muito em breve teremos uma reposição especial dos fabulosos acessórios inspirados na maravilhosa Amélie Poulain 🥰 Ansiosa pra mostrar tudo pra vocês ❤️ #lollyinthesky#gnomoviajante
