Abby and I found this amazing waterfall yesterday. We marveled that we were the only ones there, and I also thought of this passage in John 7:36-38 What manner of saying is this that he said, Ye shall seek me, and shall not find me : and where I am, thither ye cannot come? In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink. He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water. #newzealand#bridalveilfalls#gorgeoustravel#travelgram#livingwater
This was an enchanting experience. In Albert Park (right in the heart of the city!) the trees are old and gnarly and their branches grow right across the walkways sometimes so that you have to duck under them. (Swipe to see.) I was there at twilight hour and it felt like I was walking in a fairy tale land.
A random person I met there actually listed all the different countries the park’s trees come from! It was very impressive. Sadly (and less impressively) I only remember Japan, England, the US, Canary Islands, and India. (But there was a lot more.)
I also learned that Albert Park lies beside the site of one of the earliest volcanoes in the Auckland volcanic field. Yes, did you know that Auckland is built on a volcanic field?! It has approximately 53 volcanoes! The most recent eruption was about 600 years ago.
Fortunately I learned that after I had already left, haha!

That Wanaka Tree, so many different colours as the light changed from darkness to pink to light. I arrived at 6am, freezing and dark, made my way down to the bay, only one other photographer there so far, I set up my camera to await the sunrise, slowly flanked by other hopeful photographers anticipating capturing some beautiful images quietly settling in around me whispering hellos. As the sun turned the sky shades of intense pinks and oranges the shutters pinged the familiar sound of long exposures and then the light chased the pinks away and everyone slowly packed up to continue on with their day, more travel adventures, hot coffee and breakfast and a nice feeling of meeting other image makers from all over the globe in one spot to pay homage to this special tree.

No prizes for guessing what these waterfalls are called on your Catlins kombi road trip!
A must see, bucket list tick ✔️- whatever you’d like to call it! They are pretty special.
The power of water is magical in waterfall form and it’s tempting to linger a while and just watch!
But don’t linger too long - there are a TON of attractions to see on the Catlins road trip.
Yes, we force our guests out of bed very early to pack in a full day leaving from Invercargill - and we’re only choosing the highlights, the tip of the iceberg so to speak.
Allow a few days to wander and explore this amazing scenic wonderland. Just over an hour from Invercargill is the beginning of this epic road trip.
Was a beautiful regular day when we came in to the farm. When we were working out there in the water we noticed huge storm clouds coming towards us. We loaded boat with bunch of new harvest and started cruise towards land. And then ridiculously loud and bright lighting hit around 300m from us right in the water. Luckily we got back home safely with full pants of adrenaline 😅
A year ago I had gotten back from an overseas trip and then gone through some tough personal stuff that really changed my whole outlook on life. I wanted things to be different and for me to focus on some of my passions (that I had laid aside in the previous years). One such passion was photography, specifically the Proyeksi Photography account.
In the last year, I’ve had the joy of sharing photos from around the world (Israel, France, Germany, Austria, and Switerzland), my country (Arizona), and my hometown (Twin Cities/Minnesota) with my audience.
This all portrayed the original intention of Proyeksi (meaning Projection). However, this summer I’ve though hard about where I actually want to take this passion for photography, and what it actually means to me. -
I’m realizing that the core reason behind my photography is my focus on always observing the world around me. This feeds my desire to broadcast these observations to the world, and thereby ensure that others don’t overlook all the beauty this world has to offer.
Accordingly, I’d like to introduce ~ Never Overlook. An account focusing on ensuring that the beauty of the world is not overlooked.
▫️Queenstown ▫️Night time hike up The Remarkables ski field to get the Milky Way over the top of Queenstown. One of the most memorable and coldest 😬 adventures whilst living there for 2 years. I still have this printed on a huge canvas in my room 🖼
