"Come and experience a perfect journey through this beautiful island that has so much to offer"
Sometimes we have to change our "usual"...⠀
One of the "usual" things we do is get groceries on Friday! It works out well for our schedule, but this week we have plans after work so we have to change the plan!⠀
After work we have plans with friends and we're not going to hold that up just to grab groceries because it's "what we always do on Fridays". We are also not going to abandon groceries just because we cannot get them tomorrow! I'm rambling but the point I am getting at is that we can have the best laid intentions to keep a schedule but life happens and we cannot let us derail us! We simply need to reevaluate and find a new time to get groceries!⠀
The grocery subject sounds silly and simple, but its a great example of something we can all relate to and then apply elsewhere! So if you have a routine or a schedule or just a way you prefer to do things... remember it's ok if it doesn't go exactly as you planned. Don't let it through you off entirely, just adapt and keep going!
Egypt is an extremely popular tourist destination. Of course, you might be thinking that you know exactly what the country has to offer. The Pyramids, the sea, hotels with plenty of food….
However, Egypt has one more ace up its sleeve.
A desert full of oddly shaped chalk-rock formations only a few hours from Cairo. You will literally feel like you have landed on the moon, that’s how surreal the scenery looks.
These cool calcium rock formations have been formed throughout the centuries thanks to the sandstorms and erosion.
Here, you can find a giant ‘ice-cream cone’ and a ‘mushroom’, as well as a more exotic… ‘chicken and the atomic bomb’.
The White Desert is a giant natural museum and the best news is that you can spend the night in the desert with Bedouin guides.
Don’t forget to take hundreds of shots while the sun changes the colors of the chalk-rock. In case you manage to catch the full moon, you will be rewarded with a unique iridescent glow.

Do you know that the ancient Chinese imperial roof design is not just mere decoration, but it symbolizes the imperial power and status of the building?
One good example to illustrate the above is the roof of the Hall of Supreme Harmony (太和殿) in the Forbidden City, the only building with the highest level of “number” of statuettes during the imperial time. The hall is the largest in the palace complex, used as the venue for emperor’s enthronement and wedding ceremonies.
On the roof edge, it is decorated with a line of statuettes led by an immortal riding a phoenix, followed by nine beasts (bull, lion, horse and some mythical animals), the tenth statuette is called Hangshi (行十) in the form of a monkey and lastly, an imperial dragon. The Hall of Supreme Harmony has 10 statuettes, that is also the highest level. These statuettes are believed to grant protection to the building from evil spirit, natural disaster and to bring luck and happiness.
Also, there are some interesting facts about the Forbidden City worth sharing. There you go:
1. Birds are near impossible to land on the roofs. The slope of each roof gets higher and the roof spine is wider than the width of birds’ claws. More over, the roofs are glazed tiles and are very slippery. That’s an interesting way to keep the roofs clean.
2. Not all sections in the palace complex are accessible. Major repair work is still on going.
3. It is the beating heart of Beijing. The rectangle wall surrounding the Forbidden City determined the shapes of Beijing’s ring roads (there are 7 ring roads as of now). The ring roads were built outward in rectangular shape when Beijing expanded over the years with the palace complex within the center of the ring roads.

Just because someone is a “Digital Nomad” and lives in Paradise, doesn’t mean that they have Time Freedom. ✌️🔥 Many people here in Samara are scrambling because of the planned power outage tomorrow for 6 hours— it’s times like this that solidify how grateful I am to have ownership over my schedule + time! 💛✌️
