Morning on The Tavey
Further travels up the Tamar valley after I saw the the fogbow on Monday morning brought me to Lopwell Dam. Steeped in history dating back to the 13th century where there was once a busy quay side that transported lead and silver back in to Plymouth. I can just imagine the ships meandering following the gentle curve out of sight
I'm told there is an old ruined fisherman's shed that was used by the ferrymen back in the early 1900s where the men would operate a ferry to & fro across the Tavey, so more food for thought on a misty morning. .
With the colours now just turning a high tide with calm conditions I felt a long exposure works for this. A slight ripple on the waters surface is smoothed out with a 30 second exposure. Any surface froth produced by the weir above me is stretched out in to sweeping lines following the curvature of the Tavey. Vibrant colours are etched on the waters surface and a hint of mist still hanging in the air softens the harsh morning sunshine
Have a great day peeps hope you like photograph.
