I've been keeping up to date with the Ubon floods from afar. It's so sad to see the death toll rise to 33 & the number of homes being affected rising to 418,000.
What's been heartening is the reaction of the Thai people. I'm always telling people how kind & respectful the people of Thailand are & this has been clear to see in recent days.
Actor, Khun Bin Bunluerit, has raised more than 50million baht in donations which he will distribute to those affected by the floods. Volunteers have also come from far & wide to help the people of Ubon affected by the floods & to help fight off further devastation.Sadly one of the volunteers paid the ultimate price having passed away after picking up a lung infection during his service.
It's tough times like these that bring people together & I'm so proud of the reaction of the Thai people. Susu Ubon. #SaveUbon 🙏🤞💪😔🛶😐🌎🇹🇭

Cotton production in Uzbekistan is important to the national economy of the country. It is Uzbekistan's main cash crop with annual cotton exports number of 800k tons (is about 10% of world exports).Cotton's nickname in Uzbekistan is "white gold" (oq oltin in uzbek). The industry is state-controlled on a national level.Cotton is planted during April-early May and harvested in September until November. The plantations are concentrated in near Bukhara city(located to the south-west on the map)and also to some extent in Tashkent(capital) along the Syr Darya, and along the Amu Darya (rivers)in the border area with neighbor countries. Okdare, Namangan city(located in Fergana Valley) and Tashkent are the common varieties of cotton planted in the country. Moreover, while appreciating the need to introduce better high yielding and early maturing cotton, new varieties have been adopted, such as Andijan city(Fergana Valley) and Khoresm(west part of the country). Our country exports cotton mainly to China, Bangladesh, Korea and Russia.Although there are variety types of products which are made from cotton, particularly cotton fibre and cotton oil(made from cotton seed)🍂

The Patio de los Leones or Courtyard of the Lions was built in the mid-1300s. It this is the most emblematic part of the Alhambra. This fountain is said to represent the heavenly garden of Islam. A large bowl sits on twelve lions; each one has its own individual markings and face. Underneath the base of Lion´s fountain run four water channels.
