THE MUDLARKING A-Z CHRISTMAS COUNTDOWN... G – GREEN MAN
I found these two chaps in the same place, a few years apart and I’ve seen a couple more that were found by other mudlarks. They date from around the 14th century, the one on the left is though to be the part of a chafing dish that supported the bowl that was being warmed by the coals below, and the figure on the right was probably part of a decorated cup or jug.
