😨 I left you hanging for #traveltuesday !
Let’s resume ~ Our flight from #PuertoRico took us to Orlando on a busy Saturday night! There was a definite buzz of excitement in the air. Families arriving for vacation including children that were clearly up past their bedtime made for great entertainment while waiting on luggage! It made me ready for my next Disney visit. It’s in one more month, I’ll take you along! Anyway, we left the airport and drove to the @residenceinnameliaisland . We enjoyed a good nights rest in a well equipped studio suite followed by a robust complimentary breakfast the next morning. This @residenceinn is located just minutes from the beach, so we had to stop by. #AmeliaIsland is on my list for a possible return visit! A brief stop in Savannah for dinner was the official end to our adventure. I hope you’ve enjoyed our journey to Puerto Rico as much as we did! What will we talk about next Tuesday? Let me know!! #tuckertravelsta#tuckertravelstasummer19#vacation#travel#igtravel#familytravel
#PuertoRico ~ Friday ~ This was our last full day. While we were there, political protests were happening in Old San Juan. On Thursday, that came to an end when the governor agreed to resign. We had the all clear to arrange a tour of this beautifully historic seaside city. The culture, the colors, the people, the food, the architecture made for an incredible day. We started with a walking tour of the city, but first...coffee at the cutest shop by the water. After our tour, we had lunch at a place that claims to be the originator of the pina colada. It sure was good!! After lunch, it was time for a tour of El Morro, the 400 year old fort overlooking San Juan Bay. It was quite an experience! Needless to say, this was one of my favorite days. We felt immersed in our surroundings and soaked in every minute. #tuckertravelsta#tuckertravelstasummer19#vacation#travel#summer#igtravel#traveltuesday#travelblog@puertoricogram@discoverpuertorico
#PuertoRico #Wednesday We hopped in the rental car and explored a bit. We drove up to a quaint bed and breakfast to take in the expansive views which did not disappoint. Then, back down the mountain to @carabalirainforestpark to see some of the terrain of the only national rainforest in the United States. Dinner at a local restaurant and beach time rounded out the day. #Thursday Other than going to bible study that evening, the day was spent lounging on the balcony, in the pool, or on the beach. This was the day we dodged a rapidly approaching storm right after we got settled into our beach chairs. Oh, Mcdonald’s is quite the hang out spot. At midnight on a Thursday, the line was to the door! What did I eat there?? Mozzarella sticks - yep from McDonald’s. They also had yucca fries and a cheesecake frappe on the menu. Our week flew by, it was almost over. #tuckertravelsta#tuckertravelstasummer19#traveltuesday#familyvacation@puertoricogram
#PuertoRico ~ Tuesday was nothing short of amazing. We drove to the town of Ceiba to catch a 9:00 am ferry to the beautiful island of Culebra. We purchased tickets online ahead of time, which is highly advised. Culebra is geographically closer to and part of the US Virgin Islands, but is owned by Puerto Rico. Our fellow ferry riders were locals heading to enjoy a beach day and others looked as if they were heading to work or returning home. Once there, we caught one of the many available shuttles to Flamenco Beach. It was breathtakingly beautiful. We spent hours doing nothing but enjoying the scenery and positive vibes of everyone around. Our son snorkeled along the shore for hours. After a smooth ride back to the mainland, we enjoyed dinner seaside and hit the hot tub to end the night. This was definitely a day to remember! #tuckertravelsta#tuckertravelstasummer19#summervacation#travel#traveltuesday#travelblogger#familytravel#kidswhotravel#kidsthattravel@puertoricogram
It’s #foodiefriday ~ didn’t realize that was a thing until today! Anyway, our first dining experience in #NewOrleans was at Coterie. The atmosphere was modern and a bit upscale. We got there before the dinner rush and had great seats for street side views. The service was spectacular and the food even better. J & j started with Cajun egg rolls as an appetizer. I had the seafood gumbo and hubby had a fish po’boy as main courses. Both were seasoned perfectly! The hurricane was strong and sweet and the beignets left me wanting more! #tuckertravelsta#tuckertravelstasummer19#roadtrip#summer#summervacation#vacation#thattimeinneworleans
Alabama was our first destination ~ Lunch with friends in Montgomery and spent the evening and Sunday morning with more friends in Mobile. Our accommodations for the evening were at @druryhotels of Mobile. Clean, comfortable rooms; an evening kickstart with dinner and drinks plus breakfast is included in your stay. The employees provide exceptional customer service at this location! #tuckertravelsta#tuckertravelstasummer19#druryinn#roadtrip#summer#summervacation
“All-Inclusive meets Spa-Inclusive” Yes! We had the chance to check out these “sweet” suites during our last visit to Jamaica. What makes it even sweeter??? Stay in one of these and ALL of your spa treatments are included. Get a facial before breakfast, a massage before lunch, and that mani/pedi before heading to dinner. #allinclusive#spa#spainclusive#tuckertravelsta
