One of the most important things in life is to surround yourself with a village or community. It could be 1 person or 100 people, as long as they are there for you that's all that matters. Life can be hard, messy, and lonely sometimes. That's where our people come in to play. During pregnancy and postpartum we need to cling to these people more than normal. I don't care if your tribe is a group of friends, co workers, family, your mother, your brother, your neighbor, or all of the above. I just want you to have that community and be that community for others.
I think it's important to share how others have helped us and show that gratitude. Something small really can mean the world! So let's hear it, what has someone done for you during pregnancy or postpartum to support you either physically or emotionally?
Wake up, brush your teeth & grab your school uniform – it’s the norm for 1 out of 5 public school students. 🏫 About 21% of U.S. public schools required school uniforms in 2016 and the number is on the rise. 📈 Do you think this debate should be brought to light or abandoned? Sports officiating should get fined or docked pay 💰💵💴💸if they get blatant calls incorrect. An apology should not be the only form of punishment for referees or league offices in regards to blown calls. With sports betting legalized practically everywhere, blown calls are under a microscope to see if refs are turning a blind eye for their own benefit. With referees having to make judgments calls everyday, they are gonna get plays incorrect, but with top of the line equipment at their disposal, and the addition of REPLAY, I believe that refs should get fined if they get a blatant call wrong. And the fine or docked pay should be increased due to the severity of the game time situation. If heavier punishments are given out to the refs for blown calls, I guarantee that you will start to see better OFFICIATING‼️‼️Agree? Disagree? “Justice Executed” was the headline in one of our newspapers after the rampant killing of the rapists in the Priyanka Reddy case. I immediately thought of justice murdered or rendered. The ensuing write up was an objective narration of events that led up to the shoot out. The subsequent reactions and news bites from celebrities, the media, people and some Govt representatives. It outlined the celebrations and condemnation with almost a monotonous impartial discourse.
The other newspaper had a sensational headline denouncing the actions of the police. The ridiculous stance of condoning the police by even filmstars. The newspaper outlined the mockery of the judicial system. It had taken a stand and had very volubly criticized the occurrence and left no room for doubt.
The first newspaper carried an edit with a firm critique of the incident. No hysterical pronouncements or ridicule. The news merited a knee jerk reaction. I was seething and I somehow noticed the difference between the two publications now. Even though I read both everyday , I had never perceived the intonation or finer aspects of reportage in both these newspapers per se. Maybe because the earlier news did not have such a personal level of involvement or impact.
Very sanely analyzing and reflecting on the positions taken by the two newspapers, the first is what the news should be. An unbiased narration of events without adding personal colour, allusions, deductions. As much as I revelled in the opinionated recount of events of the second news paper, I realize with contrition that this overtly coloured reactions impact thought processes. If the versions are skewed, manipulated it can have a detrimental impact on a gullible audience.
This may often convince people to falsely implicate, take sides and pronounce a death sentence even before examining the veracity of the evidence collected. “Justice Executed”! #vibhamitra#qissaa#riffsnrants#qissaawomen#myqissaa#instadiary#instablog#blogger#newsandviews#newsreportagr#faircoverage#nottrialbymedia#unbiased#editorial#change#socialills#instachange#journalist#newsarticles#trialbymedia#publicinfluence

Performance Review: Scott Fly Rods 9wt Sector 4pc
The 9wt Scott Sector 4pc fly rod is a smooth presentation 9wt fly rod still capable of battling the average windy day. While not as fast as rods like the G Loomis Asquith or Sage Method, this 9wt is a true 9wt. The Sector 9wt is a big leap above its Meridian predecessor as it is crispier, able to load shorter, and still able to shoot long distances with accuracy. Line feel is incredible. As with the Meridian, you have to let the rod cast. This 9wt rod is not as forgiving for those brute power casters but for those who have good form, you will find this rod will deliver your fly where ever you need in most conditions. As far as preferred fly lines, go with a true line size and a longer rear taper. Avoid over weighted or short taper fly lines. I found this rod pairs perfectly with Cortland’s clear liquid crystal or tropic plus Bonefish taper. Reels between 7.5 and 8.5oz seem to balance the 9wt Sector perfectly. Pictured rod is paired with a Nautilus NV-G 8/9.
Pakistan is all set to play Test series against Sri Lanka in Pakistan but Mohammad Amir is going to play BPL. Pakistan Invested so much on him yet he retired at the age of 27 on the point of pursuing and focusing on white-ball cricket more but deep down we all know it is about "PAISA".
Sorry but this lad doesn't deserve to play for Pakistan. #Amir#Unbiased#Cricket#Pakistan#BPL

This might catch on. Scuse me while I go add 'early adopter trend setter' to my resume
I am very close to finishing a documentary on the decriminalization of magic mushrooms in Denver CO. Some of the biggest names in the decriminalization movement, as well as the opposition gave us some incredibly insightful interviews and both sides of the argument have reasonable and valid points. After sifting through literally +24hours of footage, I genuinely believe both sides only want our society to grow and be better. And the safety and health of the people is always the number one concern on both sides.
We’re making this documentary to spread an unbiased view on the pros and cons of the decriminalization process, what psilocybin is and can do for people, what our personal experiences have been with mushrooms, and what dangers might be overlooked from all the hype that we should keep in mind.
Here @devinpg and I are interviewing @jeffhuntcolorado who has been on the forefront of the opposition movement to decriminalizing psilocybin. Through the editing process, I’ve been required to do a TON of research into this topic and have learned a lot about how commercialization and black market operations can negatively impact our society without most people even realizing it. Including some problems that have sprung up with the full legalization of marijuana.
I am in favor of the decriminalization of psilocybin in Denver and am in support of the FDA, as well as other companies to research what psilocybin can do for people. I do not believe psilocybin, or marijuana should be a schedule 1 narcotic. I have experienced the positive and negative impacts of these drugs first hand. And I’ve heard tremendous reports from a lot of people on how their lives have been saved from these “drugs”. But my eyes have been opened to what can happen if you rush the process without fully understanding what it is you’re making legal and openly available to the public. Black markets are a problem, misuse is a problem, and mental health needs to be understood and respected. Outlandish claims need to be called out, and true studies needs to be heard. 🍄 #teamfriendship

Aaron Eckhart did not get enough credit for his performance.
Today, we released our 5th #WiW2019 study, the largest study of the state of women in corporate America, and a joint effort with @McKinseyco. Contrary to what most think, the #glassceiling is not the biggest obstacle women face. The #brokenrung is. This broken rung results in more women getting stuck at the entry-level and fewer women becoming managers. Men end up holding 62% of manager-level positions, while women hold just 38%. As a result, there are significantly fewer women to advance to higher levels. So even as hiring and promotion rates improve for senior women, women as a whole can never catch up.
To get to #genderparity , companies must fix the broken rung. This starts with adopting best practices for #inclusive and #unbiased hiring and promotions—something only 6 of 323 companies have fully in place. If women are promoted and hired to manager at the same rates as men, we’ll add 1 million women to management in corporate America over the next 5 years—setting off a chain reaction at each subsequent step in the pipeline.
Tap the 🔗 in bio for tips on how companies can solve this broken rung—as well as read the full study.

Wrapping up #worldbreastfeeding week with this photo because our faces say it all for us. I wanted to laugh and cry when this photo came up because the pure happiness on his face and mine is a true depiction of our journey. Sure, the first two months were sooooo hard. A horrible tongue and lip tie that I didn’t get fixed until 8wks - so pain, bleeding, cracked nipples...you name it, I’ve had it...but behind all that was happiness because I/we were doing it. I’ve had mastitis. My nipples still sometimes scabbed on the days/weeks that he wants to use me as a human pacifier...but I wouldn’t change it for the world.
As a Doula, I knew what to expect. I knew all of the possibilities that could happen with breastfeeding. I had that education. •
• As a society...Hospital, Birthing Center, Doctors, IBCLC, LC, Midwives, Nurses & people...we need to do better. We need to provide proper education for people who are choosing to breast/chest feed. It’s IMPORTANT. We need more resources(affordable) available to EVERYONE. •
• Yes, breast/chest feeding is recommended to be done exclusively the first 6 months and then 2+ yrs with complementary foods. Why? Research shows the health benefits as well as psychological, economic and environmental benefits. It’s a privilege tho!!
That being said, we MUST MAKE CHANGES to support those who breastfeed. Let’s start with 6months PAID maternity/paternity leave. THAT IS CRUCIAL + IMPORTANT. Work laws MUST change. Allotted time for pumping breaks • a clean space that is NOT a bathroom • no docked pay for pumping breaks • stop shaming people for breastfeeding in public. You get hungry while out, you eat, right? Guess what, so do babies and they need to eat. We need to provide respectable IBCLC’s in ALL hospitals to help parents get the best start possible should they choose that route. We need to make breast pumps free to all who choose to pump. There is so much we need to CHANGE in order to truly be inclusive of those who make the choice to breast/chest feed. Lastly, we need to make people aware that sometimes, yourbody doesn’t produce milk. Hypoplasia or IGT(insufficient glandular tissues) causes Lactation Failure...continued in comments
