Swipe ➡️ to see the crack we drove across!
Another amazing memory from the same trip. Driving across Lake Baikal - Russia to get to Olkhon Island. We went out on the ice for a day while we were staying there and you could hear the ice making huge thundering sounds as it cracked. I didn’t expect to see a crack as big as the one in the second picture, I really didn’t expect the driver to drive across it either! He made us all get out first just to be safe! #travelmemories#olkhonisland#lakebaikal#winterroadtrip

You can dwell on the negative parts of your day. Or you can push past the sucky moments and enjoy the good ones. Shift your mindset 🙏
There is so much beauty in a fresh start. If we allow it, it can opens our eyes (and hearts) to what’s been in front of us all along. We decide if we want to see the world with our old, outdated lenses or if we can let fresh eyes and new opportunity excite us.
Fifteen years ago, we had a day just like this. We laughed, we cried, we sang, we road the 4 wheeler and this time, we wiped the slate CLEAN.
New eyes. New perspective.
A perfectly clean slate and a fresh start.
What would you do with it? ✨

So I started playing the ukulele recently. Contrary to what it may appear I’m really bad. At least I’m having fun with it. It feels good to work on new challenges. ⚋⚋⚋⚋⚋⚋⚋⚋⚋⚋⚋⚋⚋⚋⚋⚋⚋⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Der Bulli kann nicht nur Berge, sondern auch Meer. So wie hier vor drei Jahren in Spanien. Ich hätte grad echt nichts gegen so eine Aussicht.
Seid ihr eher Team Berge oder Team Meer?
(magyar lent) In the next 10 days, i will share ans summarize the 10 most important things i did before the vanbuild. Believe me, you can spend 100's of hours before you actually put your hands on your VAN to start the building method. But all of them was needed in my case.
How did sou prepare your VANbuild or how you would start it?

So thankful that our world provides special moments like these 🌅
With everything that’s going on around us it’s so easy to get caught up in stress and worry, switching off to the beauty that surrounds us. 🍁
We’ve been a bit quite over here the last couple of days. Like everyone, we’re going through a very tough time at the moment. We tried to connect as much as possible with family and fellow vanlifers/travellers here in Australia to talk about our situations. We felt how important it was to us to share stories, learn from eachother and show eachother we’re not alone in this situation. We’re in this together. Thats why we don’t want to be too quite on this platform, as it offers so much benefits of supporting eachother during these tough times, like it has done/is doing for us.
The last couple of days we’ve come into a situation that got from okay to pretty bad. With a government telling us, Working Holiday Visa holders paying taxes and supporting the economy, to go ‘home’ and making it more difficult for us to keep living our lives here in Australia. Due to new restrictions we’ve been losing almost any opportunitiy to work, having very limited options for a place to stay. We don’t want to be talking too much about politics, but this is just our sitation right now. We can’t do anything about and have to deal with it like anyone else. The sadest thing we think is that a country with a prime minister who tells temporary visa holders that they are welcome in good times, but don’t want to support us in any way during times of crisis, has so many good hearted citizens helping out people in need. Luckily, we’ve met so many good Australians that are willing to help strangers in any way possible.
Also going ‘home’ is not that easy as we left our homecountry for a temporary period of time and we build a life here in Australia. At the moment, we’re doing fulltime research into what our best options are. We can’t just book a flight back home, we have to cross many stages before we’re able to return ‘home’. Still not being 100% sure what our near future will look like, we are not sure how our best option will be
All we know, is that we have to stay strong and keep helping eachother. Keep sharing stories, don’t feel alone - we’re all in this together💕

He’s stoked🤙🏼 Getting Bucky to smile for pictures is a walk in the park. Millie can be a real diva sometimes...but besides that we’ve all been so stoked about the time we’ve been spending together. TIME!!!! One of the most if not the most valuable things in life. Time to be together. I think about everyone in the world who is out of work or routine right now. How are they keeping the stoke levels up? What are they doing all day? Creating new habits? Continuing old? I think at the end of the day what it really comes down too is what you make of this. Will you let it control you and dictate how you feel? Or will you adapt? When I was 23 we lost the first story of our house to hurricane sandy. I couldn’t go home for 9 months. Loosing your home...the place you go to feel comfortable...Was something I’ll never forget. Not having my own place anymore. My own bed. I think that’s why I’m so attracted to living in a van so much. This is mine🚐 my place. No one else’s! It freaking moves away from hurricanes too..And these are the beautiful doggies I share it with🤙🏼 super grateful today. Thinking a lot about others and how fortunate I feel to have everything I need in life right here with me. Besides friends and family that is....But we’re not allowed to be near them anyway so who cares really? 😆 FaceTime me homies✌🏼I hope you’re well😄 I hope you’re adapting by getting stoked and not letting this control how you feel. We can raise stoke levels together. And our doggies! Precious time with them. So let’s get stoked and enjoy what we have, not what we don’t right now. But Low key...I’m sincerely missing in n out burger. To have it taken from me so early in our relationship, I’m having a difficult time coming to accept. They need to change the length and raise height restrictions immediately on the drive thru. Someone please reach out and talk to some people. Work that out. Alright Keep those stoke levels up🤙🏼 thanks for following along🙌🏼
