A little game of hopscotch helps to keep Buddy entertained! It was a little too small for us to play too!

Shifu being photogenic as usual 🐍 📸 Jungle carpet pythons have become popular pets due to their stunning colouration, but in the wild their numbers are decreasing due to the destruction of their habitat. #moreliaspilotacheynei
Well, if the photo below is not the definition of happiness, we don't know what is!
Dr Claire is enjoying the perks of general practice, getting some tiny cuddles with babies that came for their first ever vaccines!
Dr Claire was working as a teacher and emergency vet at Adelaide University before coming to spend the summer with us. Her experience with emergency work is great and it means she's calm no matter what, ready with the skills and knowledge it takes to save lives!
Dr Claire is (wo)manning the fort this weekend, we're open from 8am to noon.
Please join us in congratulating Emergency Technician, Janna McNabney, who completed Trident Tech's Vet Tech program to become a licensed veterinary technician! You can find Janna working in our Summerville location. .
Handsome little Thunda was in for a dental procedure today with Dr Rebecca.
Unfortunately, little dog mouths deteriorate much faster than large dog mouths and this guy was no exception. He will be able to get up close and personal for snuggles with his mom without stinking her out 😉 #dogsneeddentalcaretoo#pomeraniansofinstagram#DrRebeccaCMVH
Trouble sure has the right idea on this wet and dreary day! Her Mom sent in this photo and we couldn’t resist sharing! 💗
Trouble has been a patient of Internist, Dr. Mims, for management of her immune mediated neutropenia. Neutropenia simply means a low neutrophil count. Neutrophils act as the first responders of the immune system; they help the body to stay healthy. With immune mediated neutropenia, the body is destroying neutrophils which are the cells that fight infectious agents; therefore, the body is at risk for infection and life threatening systemic infections. Clinical signs typically include low appetite, lethargy and fever, though some pets may show one or none of the signs. Bloodwork is done to check the neutrophil count and additional diagnostics may be needed depending on whether the patient is systematic and how severe the neutropenia is. Treatment involves suppression of the immune system. With proper treatment, the prognosis for remission is good! 🤗🐾

4 months ago, Riley was anxious and fear aggressive towards the most basic aspects of an exam, such as abdomen palpation, ear exams, and nail trims.
After discussion with Riley's parents, the best solution for her fear aggression was for her to come in for weekly Happy Visits.
Happy Visits are designed to help show pets that the vet's office is not a stressful or scary place. The vet staff works on getting patients used to basic things, such as ear and oral exams, abdomen palpation, touching of limbs and feet, and positioning of the head for blood draws. Patients are given praise, treats, or their favorite toys as a reward for good behavior.
Today, Riley came in for one of her weekly Happy Visits and she is progressing wonderfully! Her parents have been working consistently with her at home, and our RVT Nicole is able to touch her feet, limbs and abdomen. She can look in her ears and is currently working on being able to position her head for jugular blood draws! Stay tuned as we will be updating everyone on Riley's journey to Fear Free Happy Visits!
🥰I don’t think this even needs a caption. Just enjoy the cuteness. Maybe also book a dog grooming appointment - every pooch should get to look this cute. 🐶🤗
