The beauty of cherry blossoms keeps surprising me just like the first time I saw them, in 2016.
Also it was nice to be back at Anyangcheon after nearly one year.
It's very close to where I used to stay for most of my trips to Korea, and it's where I started my adventure last year, when spring was ending and the beginning a vibrant summer marked my first month in Seoul.
The Starfield Library is one of the most instagrammed locations in Seoul. It offers 50,000 books and 600 magazines and also hosts concerts and lectures. This reflects South Korean culture's love for books with a literacy rate of 99.9%. Heaven also has a library with books. One important book is the book of remembrance. "Then they that feared the LORD spake often one to another: and the LORD hearkened, and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before him for them that feared the LORD, and that thought upon his name." Malachi 3:16
Move update: Well, we will leave Korea.... someday, but not this week as we were previously told 😅 It’s been a pretty irritating and stressful time with all the back and forth information we have been receiving. I just finished packing up our house before the news came, which is fine, since the movers are still coming to ship our things this week. Thankfully, we have been blessed with a wonderful realtor who has been incredibly accommodating during this period of uncertainty, so we will still have a place to live until we finally do leave.
I’m trying to just go with the flow and look for the silver lining within this situation. At least now we will be here for the peak bloom of the cherry blossoms, and Elaina and I can spend some more time with the friends we have made here 🌸
And when I thought I could call it a day the sky decided to show off one last time before the night.
Purple+Blue is my favorite color vol. 2930 💜💙

Today, we decided to take a much needed break from packing up our house to enjoy what was probably our last family outing in Korea. It proved to be a wonderful idea as the weather was gorgeous and the trees were blooming all around. Feeling the warmth of the sun, hearing the birds singing, and smelling the divine scent of the cherry blossoms was just what my heart needed. Oh, how I will miss this beautiful country we have come to call home!
This picture was taken back in May, the first time I ventured into Seoul alone. I got incredibly lost that day and wandered around for HOURS, looking for this part of the city, which is now one of my very favorites. In 2019, my intention was to become comfortable in the uncomfortable and BOY did I ever. I moved to a brand new country, started a dream job, learned so many tough lessons, overcame insecurities, and really started taking control of the person I want to become. Since last year, I’ve become more comfortable in having difficult conversations, getting lost, traveling alone, feeling lonely, and picking myself back up after hard days. Grateful for another year of getting lost... especially if it means these kind of views 😏 Thanks for being such a place of growth for me, Korea. 🙌🏻
