Our 2018 Rosé of Pinot Noir is almost gone! We are so grateful for the support of all those who love this wine and have purchased bottles to enjoy at home or with friends. While the 2019 vintage is happily fermenting in our wine cellar, we have a few cases left of the 2018 vintage, and we hope to share them with you. Visit our tasting room or order online to stock up until the release of the 2019 vintage in February.
Today has been about wine-thing and wine-thing only (appalling, sorry): discovering the delights of the Czech Republic's South Moravia #wine region 🍇🇨🇿
Here, 'wine streets' are a thing and all manner of cellar complexes lurk beneath unassuming houses whose owners are quick to welcome you in with a taster and a tour.
What's more, they're served by a fabulous #Vinobus ... 🍷🍷🍷!
I can confirm we all made it through the 22 different wines sampled... *hic*.
Wendy Paillé of Domaine Le Soula. Simply put, Wendy is one of the most fascinating people you could ever hope to meet. A native of South Africa, Wendy's experiences have spanned 3 continents and taken her from Sommelier to Winemaker.
Generous and always with a smile on her face, we are excited to represent her wines here in the US!
A Taste of Atlas Peak
There’s always some wine related fun happening in Napa, and on Saturday September 28th, The Ranch House at Black Stallion Estate Winery will be hosting A Taste of Atlas Peak. This is an opportunity to indulge in world-class wines from 13 Atlas Peak Wineries.
This year’s event will showcase wines from Alpha Omega, Duckhorn Vineyards, Prime Solum, and Michael Mondavi Family Estate…and that’s just the tip of the iceberg!
There will be gourmet small bites available, as well as live music from The Hummingbirdz, a high-energy blues band. There will also be a silent auction with prizes. This is a really fun way to taste some rare wines while enjoying music, food, and good company.
VIP Admission opens at 11am and includes exclusive early access as well as a seated lunch with paired wines. General Admission runs from 12-3 and includes Walk Around Wine Tasting and Gourmet Small Bites.
This is a fantastic opportunity to taste and purchase boutique wines from the Atlas Peak AVA that can be extremely difficult to find. If you love fine wines, sampling rare wines, good food and good company, then you should definitely consider attending. Purchase your tickets soon though, this event sells out quickly!

Just me in my natural habitat ✨ September is #CaliforniaWineMonth and what better way to experience CA wine country than in the vineyard at @domainecarneros in Napa 🍇 Fun fact: California is the world’s fourth largest wine producer with over 3900 bonded wineries, 5900 grape growers, and 637,000 acres of vineyards. What’s YOUR favorite wine region in California? Because I think you can all guess mine 😉
To get back on track, some natural heritage. The Roche de Solutré is located in the Maconnais, a vineyard region (dry white wine). This geological curiosity was created by the fracturation of the Pangea continent (Jurrasic era). Traces of the Alpine Ocean can be found in the rock (shells and corals). Throughout history, it has been an important strategic place. From the prehistory for hunting to the Middle Age as a strategic position. From the top, typical villages and vineyards fill in the view.
