“Once you have tasted flight, you will forever walk the earth with your eyes turned skyward, for there you have been, and there you will always long to return.” See you again soon VA fam! ✈ 🌏 💜 ❤
Last day of work for a while. Hopefully the world goes back to normal sooner rather than later 🙏 #virginaustralia

This morning I officially received my stand down letter. It’s been a crazy journey for 5 years but for now it’s on pause as the aviation industry (and the world) battles #covid_19 . I’m especially thinking of my flight attendant family at this time and while we’re grounded for now, I can’t wait to see you all back in the skies with me soon! 💜
Don’t know where to begin.. thank you to @virginaustralia for creating such a memorable working experience. It has been such a pleasure working with such a diverse group of people and learning what the ground operations side to the aviation world is. I’ve made amazing friends and memories through my time here and hope to be back in operation soon. The future may be unclear, but here’s to hoping that we bounce back twice as fast. #unitedbywings#virginaustralia ✈️

When I took off on this infamous flying kangaroo a few weeks ago, I didn’t realise how different it would all be on the way back... I happened to get the last QF1 flight out of Sydney to London for the next little while and as the captain mentioned in an emotional message before take off, the staff/crew on board were working under exceptional circumstances on a route that only just started days ago to accommodate the current situation around the world. So, just a little appreciation post for all the @qantas staff (some of whom I know personally) - thank you for the flights over the years and thinking of everyone at this very tough time. Same goes for the amazing team at @virginaustralia (who are very close to my heart) who are going through the very same thing at the moment. ❤️💜 #appreciationpost#thinkingofyou#qantas#virginaustralia
Today I’m hanging up my red dress for the unforeseeable future. 😢
What a massive impact this virus has caused to so many industries.
So for now, to all my Virgin crew - see you soon✨ #virginaustralia#onecrew
Triubite to our mum:
Today could possibly be mummy @meg_disher last day working for @virginaustralia, whatever the outcome we are so proud of you, we know how much you love your job. Before we were born you spent 10yrs of your life with them, you meet our daddy @michael_schwalger during the later part of those years. You both managed to get a few trips under your belt, but daddy knew in his heart of hearts you were going to be our mum. So daddy asked, and you said yes, you both married in 2012. That same year you fell pregnant to Zane and was too sick to return. You made a great sacrifice and had to leave in order to care for us. Years latter after Quade was born and we were older, you decided to try your luck and get back into what you love. You were successful with your application and since then been enjoy the last few years with your airline family away us. In total almost 13yrs of service. Thank you mum for keeping the airports safe, taking care of passengers, the good, the bad, the ugly and the celebrities. You are caring inside and out. We salute you and love you, even thou you are smiling, we know deep down your hurting too. Here’s to the greatest mum we know. 💙 #virginaustralia#saveourmum#unitedbywings#groundcrew
As I’ve been home quarantining for the past 8 days I’m currently missing my job and amazing crew more than ever, and praying that this pandemic ends sooner rather than later. With so much uncertainty in the world it’s hard to stay positive, but we will get through this and come out stronger on the other side ❤️💜🤍💛 #onecrew#virginaustralia

Didn’t think I’d ever have to write the words that my time at Virgin Australia has come to an end 💔 2 and a half years of working in a tin can, can indeed make you crazy, but I also wouldn’t change any of it for anything. Only those who have done it understand what happens when you have reduced oxygen to your brain for 12 hours, 3 hours sleep and a dry sandwich from the crew food as nutrients 😂 I’ve met some of the best people in the world and I’m putting them in my pocket and taking them away with me. This is a scary time for everyone globally and being told all NZ based cabin and flight crew are being made redundant, does not make it easier. But to have lived and breathed my dream job for this short time has been everything I could have wished for. I am so lucky to have called this a passion and job and I know my time in this industry is not over forever. Thanks VA for the opportunity to live this dream and the memories I get to keep forever 💟❣️✈️ #cabincrew#vacrew#virginaustraliacabincrew#flightattendant#enginepic#queenstown#happiness#virginaustralia#boeing737800#vainz#group54
We will come out stronger after all of this ! Sending love to my aviation family. #virginaustralia 💜

Now more than ever I am reminded of what a privilege it is to have my wings and wear this uniform ❤️💜✈️.
Times are scary and the future is uncertain.
But one thing I know is I, like many others LOVE my job and I am grateful for every day that I get to do it.
