Do you know?

I'm currently Hong Kong but this S.Korea pictures has been long overdue since 2017. It's about time I post them and get them shared.
This was one of our first stop from our tour to see the border of North and South Korea. 🇰🇷 05.12.2017
Above: a memorial plaque (made of metal and other materials) to one of Norway’s famed Nobel Prize recipients—Fridtjof Nansen, fixed to an exterior wall of Oslo City Hall. .
Fridtjof Wedel-Jarlsberg Nansen (1861 – 1930), better known as Fridtjof Nansen, was a Norwegian born explorer, political activist, humanitarian, diplomat and polar hero.
Nansen was originally a scientist—he obtained a PhD in zoology in 1888. During that same year, he headed a team that attained wide recognition, being the first to traverse the Greenland interior, navigating the icy island on cross-country skis. .
Though he later withdrew from exploration, his methods of polar travel and his improvements in gear and outerwear motivated a generation of successive Arctic and Antarctic missions. .
When Norway split from its union with Sweden in 1905, he was also a nationalist activist. .
Nansen participated in humanitarian relief work in 1921, in the course of the brutal famine in the Soviet Union. In 1922, Nansen turn out to be the first High Commissioner for Refugees, chosen by the League of Nations. .
Following World War I, he coordinated the exchanges of 400,000 prisoners of war between Germany, Russia, and Austria-Hungary. Because of Nansen’s efforts, for the sake of prisoners of war and starving people, he was given the Nobel Peace Prize. .
Frieze: a broad horizontal artwork, usually decorated with sculpture in low relief; any decorative band on an outside wall. .
[English and Norwegian follows] ❄️🇫🇮 Nuotiolla tikkupullat paistuu, ne makealta maistuu. Tulen leimussa lämpimässä, metsän siimeksessä. Männyn oksalta seuraan liittyy punatulkku, tuo talvisen metsän oma väripilkku. Kaverukset sulassa sovussa, kahvia keittävät nokipannussa. Lepotauon jälkeen jaksaa taas telmiä, voisi vaikka leikkiä ehtiä.🇫🇮❄️
❄️🇬🇧 Coffee tastes best enjoyed out in the forest with your buddies. Sitting silently by a campfire can be truly a magical experience. Especially if you manage to use all your senses at the same time: Smelling the burning wood, tasting the fresh coffee, feeling the warmness of fire on your skin. If you just sit there silently for a moment you might get lucky and get a solo concert performed by a bullfinch. Have you ever tried using all your senses at the same time? 🇬🇧❄️
