Hosting guests over the holidays? It’s the little details that can make someone feel welcome and comfortable during their stay with you. I found some thoughtful pieces from @cb2canada that are perfect additions for a guest bedroom. #ad
First, let’s talk about the bedside table setup.
This vintage looking table lamp is the perfect way to brighten up any space and it’s easy for guests to turn on or off right from bed. I like to leave a carafe with distilled water and glass on top (also perfect for wine!) and this ribbed glass version looks beautiful on a bedside table. This marble tray is a convenient spot for guests to put their glasses, watch or jewellery on as they wind down for the night. And as a decorative touch, I added this dried white sage wrapped in organic cotton string. It can be lit to purify the space.
As a final touch, I leave a cozy robe out for hotel-esque vibes. The only thing missing – room service!
@shelbydiamondstar -Plan Z .... I.e. no plan!-
Last night I went storm chasing for really one of the first times ever. All the prior storm shots I've had have been from being in the place where it was happening. For the second round of storms, I drove downtown Chicago in hopes to catch the storm over the lake with the skyline. Well, come to find out - the city closes all those popular spots after 11pm. And they had cops there to move people out! Rats! So I had to improvise. This was a small light station somewhere north of montrose harbor. I'm not really sure where, honestly! I loved it's red glow in contrast to the sky. So this was the shot I ended up with! .

I will never tire of potatoes especially when it has a creamy base made out of garlic, onions, stock, cream, chives and cheese with thin layers of potatoes spiraled all over. And more cheese to make a crust that won’t burn because it’s added in the last 10min or so. Skillet Scalloped Potatoes with Chive Butter. Recipe in my profile / stories. #sparkjoydaily 🥔🧅🧈🧄🥔🧀
