So really, a man walked into a waiting room and he was prob 75. I was the ONLY other person in a waiting room that looked like it could hold 40. ⁣
He was chatty with the desk clerk and wanted to know who to talk to upstairs so he could tell them to “stop making them do all this paperwork crap.” I giggled to myself and thought, “typical cynical old man.” But he was nice and apologized to the clerk, reminding her that he was not directing his complaint at her. ⁣

And the conversation was pretty fun! I enjoyed it! We literally talked about research and how we become more cynical & skeptical the older we get. He was someone’s super cool grandfather, son, spouse, nephew, neighbor 🤷🏼‍♀️ and I got to chat with him.⁣

I came across this post from @iammichellegifford and it is SO TRUE. I’m a people-pleaser. I have a hard time telling people no because I want them to be happy. So I over schedule and overwhelm myself. Which is a little ridiculous. Here’s what I’ve learned this last year to ensure my goals and personal ambitions are being met.
1- I raised my prices all across the board.
2- I can’t remember who said it but the quote I heard went something like: “If it isn’t a hell yes, it’s a hell no.” In other words, if the project, client, whatever doesn’t fire you up in a good way, it’s not worth your time.
3- if it gets in the way of my schedule, I politely decline.
Because I’ve implemented these simple tips in my life this past year, I’ve been able to DRASTICALLY increase my business in the way I WANTED IT TO. My time finally wasn’t being completely consumed by everyone else. And now I use that time accomplish my goals. 💪🏻💪🏻

#AmmarAnwar has always been my introvert child. Super manja and super sensitive. I don’t blame him considering he is the first child, the first grandchild, the first great grandson.
So I kindda wanted to expose him to public speaking courses and I got to think why not we organise one where can he speak something that he loves aka baking. The best part he got to do it with his best friend, Ziydan. Thank you Zuha for agreeing to do this with me.
We offered the class to 15 children. It was so challenging in so many ways coz we both have other babies aka #AnnaAnwar to handle as well. But all in all, it was such a fun day. Definitely far from what I would called a successful event, but more importantly the kids had fun.
Thank you Arina for giving us the place for free. Big thanks to other mothers for participating from A-Z.

Y’all it’s actually the same pic 3x over bc I just really loved how these lashes turned out 😍 I mean, yaaaaassssss 🙌🏼 I used @minkys J Curl lashes for the first time, in different lengths to give us that wispy goodness. That, combined with @flutterwithflair Crystal Clear glue made it so that we got perfect attachments with each extension and the glue didn’t bother her sensitive eyes. Each appointment is customized to exactly what your needs are at that moment. If that means we need to switch up the glue to be less fume-y bc your eyes water (a lot!) or if varying lengths of a different lash curl will give us that subtle, yet look-at-these-eyes look we’re going for, then that is what I will deliver. The best thing I’ve heard all day: “I’m so glad I listened to my friend who told me to come see you. This one is low carb & low sugar!•

☕️2 cups of milk (can do almond, coconut, 1%, half n half or cream if you’re #keto , Fairlife, whatever you like!)
☕️1 scoop of chocolate protein powder (I use one sweetened with stevia for minimal added sugar and very clean ingredients)
☕️1 TBS of unsweetened cocoa powder
☕️1 dash (or a few) of cinnamon•

Heat on low over the stovetop and whisk until protein and cocoa are dissolved completely. I used a little hand frother to get out the lumps. Be careful not to burn it!•

When desired temperature is reached, pour into mugs. Makes 2 mugs of hot chocolate.•

🌲Got to spend the day with my girl Lauren + her sweet boy! We had lunch, played with the babes, planned our kids’ Christmas 🎅🏻lists, called the police to help us hang a shelf {swipe 👉🏻 for the proof}, worked, and got real about some of the hard stuff. Harrison also blessed Ryu with some of his old baby toys ➕ it was precious and humbling.
I’m so grateful for this business that brought us together. These women 👯‍♀️I spend my days with — whether they’re across town or across the world — they’re my people. We literally do life + raise our families + build business together and I cannot imagine my life without them.

I saw this, and I had to share it with you. This was the realization I had when my oldest was 7. It was the first step for our incredible relationship that we have today.
Parenting is hard - we want so much to [get it right] and to grow these people who are kind, respectful, have it better than we did, love themselves and others. Yet, we can easily get caught up in the "do as I say, not as I do" mindset.
A little secret....that does NOT work. Trust is built on intent, integrity, capabilities, and results. And from that, your behaviors grow your level of each of those areas. The only person you can control is yourself. So it really is YOUR behaviors you need to focus on.
Children are brilliant imitators. The best way to change their actions is to change yours. 💜

Oh, and let's be friends if you are struggling through this. Because I am in a constant learning phase as a parent. Even though I have four, they are such unique individuals. The challenges I face with one is nothing like the challenge the next one brings along. We need one another!

I am unexpectedly stting in the quiet while the tree twinkles and the evening fire crackles and begins its slow descent into darkness and cold ashes. The children are sleeping and my husband turned in early.
A mother's life tends toward noise, activity, busyness.
There are moments during my days where I watch from the outside and am taken aback by the sound and chaos and sheer volume of tasks assigned to me.
So it is logical that once the world around me slows and night comes upon our life here, the silence is a welcome gift.
It is almost deafening and full of weight on my ears. I feel my heart rate lowering, my mind takes its last laps before sleep, and calm descends onto my heart.
The crackling, popping, sizzling of the fire is glorious. The sparkle of lights on our tree stirs a memory of childhood, of the excitement and thrill of a real tree and all that it means in this season.
I am permitted the time to be in my own thoughts, to ponder my day, my emotions, my reactions, my successes and failures. To speak to my Lord uninterrupted.
As I sit here tonight I send out a prayer for the other moms and dads and caretakers who rarely get to hear their own thoughts in the daylight hours.
I pray you'll be given a moment to sit in the quiet and hear yourself. That you'll pause and reflect and breathe and simply watch the fire dance. Mostly that you'll feel Him near you and rest well in that.

Mommin’ ain’t easy. This is his first official time out....I originally captured this photo because despite the fact that he tried to knock me out with a book, he’s just so darn cute.

But, looking back at it now, just a few hours later, I’m flooded with emotion. We did not plan for this little guy. We had been content (and taking the same kinda precautions) for TEN years. TEN.

God had bigger plans for us. This one has helped us refocus on what’s truly important in life. We are more present. We relish in every stage. His older siblings are learning how to nurture and serve without being asked. And we are content with the seasons we are led into.

FREEDOM OF TIME: probably the most common goal my new coaches set!⏰ (like attracts like, right?) Being able to spend their days doing something that fulfills them! Being able to go see family at the drop of a hat - without asking anyone’s permission! Not feeling like they will get in trouble for booking holidays, or not feeling guilty for taking a sick day. Sure - freedom of time is ultimately a financial goal. But it’s one that is far removed from the material things money can buy.❤️ Being able to stay home with my son and never asking anyone’s permission for a holiday (like this one we took to Greece!🇬🇷) were the TOP goals I aimed to achieve. I literally looked at the sticky note I wrote my goals on every single day! (I kept it on my night stand!) They were non-negotiable.🤜🏼 So on the days when I felt like I was failing - or just couldn’t possibly stand to hear another NO, I thought about WHY I was doing this. WHY I kept showing up and working hard! It wasn’t so I could afford an expensive handbag or upgrade my ride - it was so I could afford freedom of time.🙌🏼 I am grateful beyond measure that I was able to make that goal my reality! I truly believe what you focus on expands - good or bad! So set a goal, write it down, and put it somewhere you will see often! Share your goals with loved ones! Put them out into the universe! But most importantly - TAKE ACTION! Messy and unbridled action.
