Anyone else feel like you’re working just as hard, if not harder than some of your coworkers named Chad and Brad, but your pay can’t seem to catch up? Don’t worry, it’s not you. It’s that pesky thing called the wage gap. ⠀
While the wage gap SUCKS there are ways you can increase your pay:⠀
1. Negotiate your salary when you’re offered the position.⠀
2. Share your salary with your coworkers. It can help you realize if you’re being underpaid. ⠀
3. Pick professions that have higher earning potential. ⠀
4. Be able to speak to your skills and how they deserve to be compensated appropriately ⠀

Question of the day..what are you reading? I received this book “The Millionaires of Genesis” by Catherine Ponder in the mail a few weeks ago and I have to say, I absolutely love it. It’s full of affirmations and ways to simply Thank God for his doings now, in the past, and for the future. It’s so good, y’all! I enjoy reading to refill my own cup and my creativity. Because remember you can’t pour from an empty cup, honey! We are all human and often fall short with our own thoughts, words, and actions. Especially during the idle time we have with COVID. I encourage all of you to view or read something that will uplift your spirits. 🦋 You can get this book from @barnesandnoble
Let me know what you are reading so I can add it to my list next! 🤍
Warren Buffett, who believe in companies with strong economic moat have been one of the most successful investor. However, lately he admitted that some companies are at higher risk of being taken over, even though they have strong economic moat. In this era of cut-throat competition especially in technology sector, it’s extremely difficult to build a wide moat. However, building a moat with greater purpose such as sustainable, meaningful competitive advantage can still be beneficial for business.
😨 You must focus on the things that you can control, everyone has the opportunity to be great including you, but you must chase it!
🙏🏾 You should always be generous to others, because good energy will always come back to you
🎯 On top of that focusing on things you can’t control is simply just a waste of energy so stop, and use that effort for something beneficial!

The Alternative Financier, founded by New Orleans, Louisiana native, Yusuf Christopher West, is a new multimedia platform aiming to curve the stigma of financial literacy, launches with its inaugural Podcast series of the same name. The show is dedicated to publicizing more ethical financing solutions by engaging industry practitioners and scholars to understand how the finance sector is transforming to become more conducive to societal needs.
His Babson College degree (Finance Major), coupled with his experiences in investment banking and private equity, proves that he has much to contribute to finance conversations. West designed the framework for the platform using these benchmarks: challenge, vision and solution. With his formula in place, he intends to tackle problems in a very tactical manner by looking at issues from a micro and macroeconomic standpoint.

Hustle & Heart will set you apart!
A little advice for my fellow dreamers....Get after it, if you get tired learn to rest NOT QUIT. Never base your success on other people’s opinions & failures. Many won’t clap for you & THATS OK👌🏼 Clap for them anyway, smile anyway, support anyway, love anyway...why? Because God honors your good heart & you will be blessed! Lastly DO THE WORK!
