I’m a Canadian-board-certified family physician, a fellow in regenerative and anti-ageing medicine and an aesthetic specialist.
I grew up in Al-Qaisumah, a village north of Saudi Arabia. I never had dolls; I had bicycles instead. I climbed trees, collected branches to make small spears and slingshots. My parents encouraged my siblings and I to explore the outdoors and have fun.
I graduated from King Faisal University and soon after joined Saudi Aramco’s Professional Development Program (PDP), where I chose family medicine and was sent to the University of Calgary in Alberta, Canada on a scholarship.
During this time, I became pregnant with my first daughter. Balancing my life between being a new mom and a full-time doctor was one of toughest times but both experiences provided me with a great deal of knowledge.
I returned to Saudi Arabia to work at the King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Center (KFSHRC). The work environment was extremely professional with a high standard of health care.
Throughout my career, I found that the time I spent with my daughters wasn’t enough. I chose to be a mother first, leading to the decision to work part-time.
My eldest daughter Gheed has a very beautiful artistic side and is inquisitive about nature. My younger daughter, Tala, is tech-savvy, excelling at digital art and coding.
My father is the embodiment of wisdom and kindness. We lean on him for support and guidance. I learned everything I know from my mother. The way she cared for, raised and loved us allowed us to be confident, disciplined and driven.
In 2004, I began pursuing aesthetic medicine, which quickly became a passion of mine.
I focus on regenerative medicine, which looks at the overall health of an individual.
Functional medicine doesn’t replace conventional medicine but complements it. The idea is to support the body in order to heal.
Nature heals us, grounds us and provides us with everything we need, gifts and blessing from God.
The highlight of my career is the gratitude and kindness I receive from my patients. I always try to go the extra mile to provide the best care possible.
🦠📲Germs and bacteria can live on hard surfaces – like your cell phone! – for days.
☠ Just think of all the places your cellphone travels … and the surfaces it has touched.Eww, right? .
💥In the wake of the Coronavirus pandemic, there are some actions you can take to protect yourself (and your devices!). .
🙀First: Avoid putting your phone near your face. Use the speaker whenever possible.
💦Second: Disinfect your phone DAILY. Check with your phone’s manufacturer, but Apple says its safe to use Clorox disinfecting wipes on its phones.
. 🚫Other common cleaners (like alcohol, vinegar, window cleaning spray, or anything abrasive) can damage your phone so it’s important to double-check. .
💡Note: these actions are important even when there’s not a global health threat, since studies show most cell phones are laden with bacteria.
. 👐TIP: If it’s been a while since you’ve disinfected your phone, wash your hands thoroughly, disinfect the phone, and then wash your hands again, to avoid cross-contamination! #jacwellness#sanitizer#hygiene#corona#viruses#bacteria#crosscontamination#wellbeing#wellness#health#healthyhabits#menieres

An hour boxing and core workout for Friday., pushed extremely hard today and burned 750 kcal.
I haven’t write any lengthy journal for quite a while. And yet today I’d like to share more. .
Life is hard, life is challenging, it’s full of unknowns, uncertainty and probably unease for many of us. We are all trying to cope with the fear, the changes and the anxieties during this difficult time. As a matter of fact, me too!
If you know me, you’d know I’m always outside playing with Asher, looking for fun, doing something...I don’t stop. But now I’m learning to pace myself, learning to slow down, learning to be at ease for the unknowns, learning not to be over worried for things I can’t control. .
I’m treating the lockdown as the best time to pause, to reset, to determine what’s important, what’s not, to re-prioritise my life and to recharge! It’s hard not to be able to live the way we all want, but remember this is all temporary, the sky is gonna be clear again someday. .
I’m keeping life very simple. - Exercise 6 days a week for my sanity - Elevate my training for even more defined abs and butts without losing too much body fat, - Enhance my agility and keep working on the stability with regular rehab work
- Eat well - Laugh often - Love much - Spend quality time with the kids - Sleep enough
- Be highly focused at work and the short term goals
*- Learn something new, do something challenging every week
What about you? Tell me about how you feel during the lockdown and if you are having any self care routine to keep your healthy and sane? .
What is the Best Way to Lose Fat? 👀
The simple (and complicated) answer is that there is no “best way” to lose fat. Most people are after a specific diet or exercise to get rid of excess fat from different areas of the body.
Fat never burns locally. It will always disappear first there where it first came no matter how hard you do sit-ups. But doing resistance training will increase muscle mass, and it forces fat to divide into the broader surface area. That makes you look more fit.

The mind-body connection is a discussion that has been a part of conversations and research around the world. And from everything that you have heard so far, you must have realized that there is a deeper connection between the mind and the body.⠀
On the path to healing your mind, you should also concentrate on healing your body as well!⠀
For some of us, it might be a little tricky to keep our usual vibration and energy levels going as we used to but it's not impossible. Think of it like this, if you start now with a determination you can get back to your rhythm of movement. So every day make sure to get at least a 20-minute workout in. Make sure you eat the right amounts in small quantities as well.

It doesn't get more Aussie than this. Our olive leaf extract is Australian-grown at our groves in Northern Victoria, where kangaroos roam free and our olive trees thrive.
hey y’all! soooo it’s been AWHILE. life has been pretty chaotic recently, i’m sure you all can relate. the past couple months i’ve been emotionally draining for me. with my study abroad getting cancelled and having to be away from so many people i love has been pretty hard on me.
this whole quarantine thing is NOT easy. i try to switch up my routine everyday as much as I can but you can only do so much in your house before you run out of things to do. that being said, i wanna get this page up and running again.
recently i’ve been making a lot of tik-toks LOL but i noticed that i like the platform a lot for workout videos. it helps me show you guys the workout all in one video without having to post a bunch of separate clips!
working out boosts your serotonin levels and i think we all could use some happiness right about now! i’m gonna challenge myself to post on here more not only for my own benefit but to help you guys out as well! we’re all in this together :) today was a full body workout, starting with an arm sesh, then legs (all exercises were 3x12 for reps) and i finished with cardio. i did a walk/jog around my neighborhood and it felt AMAZING. you guys, if you can get outside to take a walk or just sit in the grass and do your homework, DO IT. especially if the sun is shining. it brightens your mood instantly.

Meet @jaime.gilchrist! Jaime is a ski instructor from Christchurch, NZ, who is now living in BC, Canada.
When she isn’t teaching kids to shred @grousemountain , Jaime is an ambassador for @coalitionsnow
Coalition Snow is an award-winning, women-owned & operated company that designs skis and snowboards with the chicks who shred in mind! Coalition came about in 2014 in response to the frequently-used “shrink & pink” method of designing women’s ski gear, and came out with a range of gear designed by women, for women.
Jaime got started on her journey in 2016, studying Geography at the University of Canterbury. After realising that university life wasn’t what made her happy, Jaime started working extra hours at a bar so she could ski. One thing lead to another and Jaime found herself training for her NZSIA Level 1 and applying for a Canadian work visa. She hasn’t looked back since!
Unfortunately, the global COVID-19 pandemic has pressed pause on Jaime’s skiing for the moment. However, we look forward to watching Jaime climb her way up the ski instructing career ladder, and we are proud to feature a chick who decided to pack up and pursue her sport no matter what.
Show some support for Jaime and everyone else in the snow industry who are being hit pretty hard by COVID. Sign up for the Coalition Snow ‘Lady Parts’ Newsletter, the Juicy Bits Podcast and the SISU Magazine to show these guys some support!

Still pushing myself to stay positive, staying active and continuing to achieve my goals. Although, past few days my motivation hasn’t been 100% but that’s okay because that’s when you push even harder and push yourself past your limits.

I have always made a #commitment to #fitness and #wellness even when my career and personal life are busy and demanding. Being fit #strong and active keeps me at the top of my game and helps me to stay calm and balanced. I understand that #reallife can be tough sometimes. But making fitness a #priority is always worth it!
DEPRESSION ~ The calling to go within, to recalibrate, to feel deeply again, to stop and rest. To tap out of doing for a moment or more.
A tiny little word, such strength it holds. Such stigma. Such shame and fear.
A human emotion, no different then the others, no different the joy akd equally as powerful, waxing and waning like the moon.
Feel her when she comes Mumma. Ask her 'What is here for me'. And breathe xxx
Wow. What a week. A couple of days ago I planned our weekend meals thinking we would be able to go to the grocery store a few days later without complete chaos!! So this photo is completely irrelevant at this time but it rang true to the situation on Wednesday and every other “normal” day.
Every few days I pick my recipes, right out the ingredients, and throw it into my Smith’s app.
It is pretty rare that I go by this to a T but it gives me a general idea of what we’re going to cook and eat!!! We obviously have a few staples like every other family which I am going to save for another post 😊
Impossível fazer uma cara boa depois desse treinão de hoje 🥵

long post below but i promise it’s worth it! 🤍
personal training was never my thing. the 1:1 intimacy always made me anxious and i can honestly count on two hands the number of sessions i’ve hosted. “but that’s where the money is!” my PT friends would insist; nevertheless my comfort zone has always been teaching in front of a class. for whatever reason, that space was always less intimidating.
fast forward to now and every fitpro i know is reevaluating their relationship with how to train others. this new virtual landscape is allowing so much growth and learning and, to the surprise of many of us, community amidst all the chaos.
this inevitable change has helped me realize that i’m able to coach 1:1s through a screen. that i can create a bridge between my classes and in-person personal training: virtual sessions where we can focus on form and connect in our own way.
so... GIVEAWAY! win a 30 minute 1:1 with me (OR you can make it a small group session with a few friends, if you’d like). to enter:
✨ follow me!
✨ tag as many friends as you’d like (who also follow)!
✨ bonus entry if you share this on your story!
will announce the winner (chosen at random!) after saturday’s class 😘 giveaway closes 4/4 @ 10am EST

So you don’t want to wait in the line to get into Trader Joe’s and all you have at home is sweet potatoes 🙃 Solution: HOMEMADE SWEET POTATO GNOCCHI 🍠 This only requires 3 ingredients!!!! Yes, you read that right 👏🏻 I also cut the baking time in HALF by microwaving the sweet potatoes for 10 minutes instead of baking them in an oven for an hour 💁🏼♀️ This is such a fun cooking project to make with the free time ya got 🤗
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Ingredients:
- 2 large sweet potatoes
- 1 cup flour—can use GF flour too
- 1/2 tsp salt
- spinach, garlic, butter for serving
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
- wash and scrub sweet potatoes well, pierce with a fork, wrap in a paper towel and microwave for 7-10 minutes until soft
- peel the skin off the sweet potatoes, add to a bowl and mash
- add flour gradually and the salt and mix until you get a dough
- add flour to your counter and separate dough into handfuls, then roll each one out
- cut the ropes until small squares, roll against the back of a fork for the gnocchi shape and set aside
- bring a large pot of water to a boil, add gnocchi (in batches) for 2-3 minutes and remove with a slotted spoon when they float to the top
- add butter and minced garlic to a skillet over medium heat, add gnocchi and sauté until crispy, add spinach at the end
- serve with parmesan and pepper
- *makes about 2-3 servings
The moment a picture from 4 years ago comes up in your Facebook memories and you realize you still have the outfit....except you’ve lost 160 pounds since then. 🤣
I can’t get over how SHORT this sweater used to be on me!! Now it’s almost to my knees! I remember being so uncomfortable having this picture taken because there wasn’t anything for me to hide behind, so my go to was always “fold your arms over your stomach to somehow try and hide things that you’re self conscious about.”
I wish I had the confidence I have now back then. I wish I had known I didn’t have to hide. I wish I had realized that my worth came more from the size of my heart than the size of my clothes. Because that’s the truest shit ever!
I get asked about confidence a lot. And truth be told, I still have insecurities, of course I do. But this journey has brought me confidence! Not ONLY because of my physical transformation but EQUALLY because of the mental transformation I’ve gone through to get here! I’m confident in ME. Who I am! What I’m capable of! I’ve proven to myself that I’m stronger than I ever knew I was, and THAT’S where my confidence comes from!
This journey will bring you physical changes; that’s a guarantee. But my biggest piece of advice is to make sure you’re working on the mental part along the way as well! Love yourself so fiercely that the rest of the world will have no choice but to do the same!
