I can never read all the books. I can never be all those people and live all their lives. I can never train myself in all the skills I want. And why do I want? I want to live and feel all the shades, tones and variations of mental and physical experience possible. But I realized I am horribly limited.
So I went up to the 40th floor on a whim, and was greeted by the sight of really dark puffy clouds amidst the sunrise and I was so thankful that I went up. It has been so long since I sat at a particular spot for 3 hours just experimenting with my camera. And oh, how therapeutic it was.
Random question though: If my photos were to be developed into prints, will any of you buy them? 🤔
Wow!!! Thank you @photeo.grapher so much for sharing this awesome capture with #whatissingapore

Practising Ignorance | Ten months ago, on the eve of Bicentennial hysteria, I vowed that I would practice being stupid more, because ignorance has its virtues.
10 months on, I wish to report: gratitude.
No, I don't mean spreading misguided, self-righteous rage. I mean admitting: "actually I'm not very sure (even about the things I've studied for years) and maybe someone could teach me new things." That approach has taken me down many strange roads. Admitting "I don't know" has been liberating.
People came up to teach me new things: about myself, my island, or its flora, or its cultural connections, or the memories they had about all those things.
New worlds opened up, within which I could absorb knowledge and wonder, as leaves drink up sunlight.
Often in this frightened society, we are taught to measure our selves by our memorisations, rather than our memories. We learn to replace our dignity with (someone else's standards of) Distinctions.
Express streams and expressways are virtues. Being slow is smiled at indulgently, usually passed over or punished. Being Normal is sometimes an aberration. That sort of conditioning makes us grow thick hard shells, calcified with dogma. We assert Facts, we insist Truths, forgetting our precious, human subjectivities. We forget how liberating, how powerful, softness can be.
This year, experimenting with ignorance, surrendering my certainties, I have been gifted with new perspectives, new horizons. I have been privileged with new friends, new eyes.
A teacher of mine once suggested that the best poets Listen, that they open spaces into which other voices may speak.
I see now how exhilarating it can be, to offer up this emptiness, to leave it for others to fill it with their own fullness.
What is this page for? So many answers. But your thoughts, words and memories have shown me this page can also be a bowl, a cup; a river: into which we can all give, share, borrow, luxuriate, celebrate and learn.
I wish to keep these windows open, to keep practising ignorance. There are still so many stories to share and to savour.

Lunch? The Yaitori at Mikawa Yakitori is amazing. Freshness and quality are taken very seriously here, which is why every individual skewer is prepared fresh whenever an order comes in. The best of all, they are all charcoal grilled giving that very exquisite taste.
Indeed a jewel of Changi Airport, Jewel Changi Airport links up 3 of its terminals and was opened on 17 April 2019. It was developed by a joint venture between Changi Airport Group and Capital Land at a cost of S$1.7bil. Framed in steel and glass, the toroidal design arose from a consortium of architects, led by Moshe Safdie (designer of Marina Bay Sands). At the heart of the mall lies the Rain Vortex(photo) which pumps life to the building where the beauty of nature is further fortified by terraces of greenery. With 10 stories and a total floor area of 1,461,00 sq ft, it houses a shopping and food paradise which serves as a perfect spot for relaxation prior a flight.
Frequently known as the Gotham Tower, the commercial building towers at a height of 144m surrounded by sculptures and statues. The golden crane lies immediately in front of the building and was erected to bring wealth to the building. A chinese poem is engraved on the pedestal of the crane and it goes:
The poem depicts the crane pointing towards the Yellow Crane Tower in Wuhan, illustrating its longing for home. Allured by the beauty of the crane, I often take a snap of it without reading and understanding the poem. I am so glad that I finally get to really understand the true meaning of this masterpiece!
Shining On as @sensorshift 🌟
I am incredibly thrilled to share that I have been selected as one of the official ambassadors for Olympus Singapore for their upcoming campaign. I want to take this opportunity to thank everyone for supporting me on my photography journey. Photography has allowed me to meet many new friends, take my mind off work, and immerse myself in creative activities. As a new chapter of this journey begins, it’s perhaps fitting to change my Instagram handle from @wai.so.serious to @sensorshift. Here’s to sharing more photos on this channel with everyone! 📸
@talesofexplorers is sharing their experience about @jewelchangiairport
It is more than just merely a rain vortex.
Let's hear their experience:
"We decided on a spontaneous trip to Singapore, and here we are at The Jewel Changi.💎 It is the largest indoor waterfall “Rain Vortex” in the world. It just opened April of this year and we were so lucky to experience it with our own eyes!👀 This airport is not only rated the best in the world but it’s so magical.🤩 You can spend an entire day just at this airport! They even have a cactus, butterfly🦋, sunflower garden🌻, movie theatre and a swimming pool! 🏊♀️If you guys are from Singapore let us know where should we go visit next!😁"
