FARM REPORT Monday, March 30: Last night I spent a little time reading about exposure, aperature, and shutter speed and then took my camera out to the field today and practiced. I'm so pleased with how the shots turned out. I have about 6 photos to share with you but was only able to get 3 photos to load to my phone easily to post to IG. I'll share the others in my stories. 🌷 Tomorrow I'm going to work on composition along with continuing to work on exposure and light. I'll also research the best ways to move multiple DSLR photos to Instagram posts. 🌷Today I also spent some time looking at available grants, loans and unemployment for small businesses during COVID-19. What a complicated web especially for a seasonal business whose employees were just starting to come back to work for the season. The one constant in this whole thing is that tomorrow there will be more information available, and the plants will continue to grow. So, I'm gonna focus on the plants ....I think they are gonna get our business through this.🌷Stay home and stay safe. #flowerphotography#tulips#springtime#ayearinflowers#slowflowers#whyilovephilly#Philadelphiaflowers#dsfloral#tulipapricotgiant#tulipexoticemperor#tulipivoryfloradale

Perfect 3 bed 1.5 bath twin home in chestnut hill for only 350k. I always love to see side windows which bring so much more light than an average row home. Also, that front porch will be so nice all summer. Such a charmer 😃 🧀

You hear the phrase all the time “small business is the backbone of the economy” “shop small” and so on. Before being a small business owner I thought “don’t buy your hair products from the salon, they are over priced” “don’t go to that local boutique with the really cute clothes the girls will be rude, and they will be over priced...and maybe a little shaming” “don’t go to the local bookstore, they won’t have what you want.” Flash forward to the hear and now, all my favorites are Philly stores and store owners. Small business restaurants are SO much better than chains. That boutique is amazing, and f*ck ulta, like they care about my hair, my salon and stylist are so much cooler. So ya, we go to Whole Foods for groceries, but shopping small and local is SO MUCH MORE FUN! This #moonstone (which I have been VERY drawn to) I found at @spiralbookcase who introduced me to @witchswaycraft and I just feel better knowing my money is going to businesses who need & RESPECT me as a customer. In this time, if you can, support your favorite small business shops. Pray for the best, keep them in business. Hari Om Tat Sat 🧿💕🕉

As #WomensHistoryMonth comes to a close and today being #NationalDoctorsDay , we're proudly recognizing two of the many innovative females laid to rest at West Laurel Hill who helped influence the healthcare industry.
Dr. Charlotte Yhlen - the first Swedish woman to graduate as a physician from an American university. She studied medicine at the Woman's Medical College of Pennsylvania, where she graduated in 1873. Dr. Yhlen later worked as a physician at the Woman's Hospital of Philadelphia and then with her own practice. She is laid to rest in our Woodlawn section.
Today, on #NationalDoctorsDay , we recognize and celebrate the extraordinary commitment and perseverance of our region’s physicians, and the healthcare staff who work alongside and support them. During this challenging and unprecedented time, we have never been more proud of you.
Do you know a doctor or healthcare professional? Thank them in the comments ⤵

🌸🌺 #whyilovephilly#philadelphia#philly#phillyarchitecture#visitphilly#spring

Ran into Sir Charles at the Insideout Complete Carwash in Conshy a little while back. Charles Barkely was one of my Role Models growing up, despite him telling my parents that he was "Not A Role Model." 🥖
The Round Mound of Rebound is a genuinely nice man. He was more than happy to chat with me for a few minutes, while we waited for our cars to be cleaned, inside and out. Not much of a cheesesteak guy, but Chuck does appreciate the 'Zep', which we know is the Hoagie's cousin from Norristown. 🥖
Then we gambled on whose car would emerge from the cleaning station first. After my car came out first, clean as a whistle, he wanted more action. Double or Nothing on how many cars would pass through the green light down on the street in front of us. Thanks again for lunch Chuck. Until we meet again.
Staying home and staying inspired. Luckily, I’m quarantined with my beautiful sister and we were able to safely be outside to enjoy some of the spring blooms with my camera. Currently blasting ‘blinding light’ by The Weekend, exporting a wedding and staying positive💗

Last spring in Philly. Can’t believe I never posted this one. Walking under the canopy of branches felt like a entering a blossom tunnel.
Happy Mother’s Day to all of my UK friends - sending you all my biggest and best social distancing air hugs and kisses xx

What we thought life with a puppy would be like —> what it actually is like😂
After what I’m pretty sure was a 48 hour long panic attack, we’re settling into being home. We’re playing lots of living room fetch, making our space as cozy as possible, cooking, baking, reading, and just taking our sweet time doing the things that bring us joy. 🌸
Hoang and I have literally never had this much time to just *be* together at home. Nowhere to go. Nothing left to be done (I mean, we could clean the bathroom but that’s beside the point lol). All we have to do is ask ourselves - “what would bring us a little joy, right now?” We’re making cocktails, and baking with whatever supplies we have, and making homemade sweet potato fries. 🤤
I don’t know about you, but sometimes I get so focused on my goals and taking care of people around me and just pushing to be better, that I forgot to focus on the simple things - like candles that smell good and a funny show. I hope you’re staying well and safe, and you’re staying relatively sane and getting to find joy in something small. If you’re on the front lines as an essential person, I’m grateful for you 💓
What are you guys up to at home?!
