🖌🎨📷@nicholascoleypaintings are pretty as a picture. Painting outdoors, or “en plein air,” Coley captures some of our favorite outdoor spots on canvas. How's that for art in the parks? Here’s one that’s sure to be a new favorite: “Above Baker Beach #131 ,” oil on canvas, 2019. #Parks4All

All for the Bay
So cool to watch the progression of all the layers @scottalexmills and I passed back and forth over a few days consolidated into just a minute. Building from @andrewoptics and @paulclark RAW images to the final LR adjustment, and everything in between. Such a fun one to create! #forthebayffa
“The feel of the wind on your face and the sounds of the waves” — YOUR support 🙏🏽 is helping interns like Alissa know the joy of working outside in our Golden Gate National Parks! 🌬🌊 As Alissa says, “being around nature makes you happier and healthier,” so it’s wonderful we can provide people the opportunity to be out there every day via our internship programs. To learn more and to continue supporting our internships and park programs, see the link in our bio. #Parks4All#Grateful#interns#internships

If you've spent any time in our parks, you know Sonoma County has some of the best birding in the region, but did you know that we now have two birding checklists to help you identify which feathered friend you're seeing? Follow the link in our bio to find lists for Spring Lake Regional Park and Doran Beach. These lists, in combination with a bird field guide, will set you up to identify and track many common birds in Sonoma County. You can also pick up a hard copy of the lists at the Doran entry station and visitor center and at the Environmental Discovery Center at Spring Lake.
Davenport Wharf was built by John Pope Davenport (hence the name of the town) at the mouth of Agua Puerca Creek to load the lumber brought down from the hills. This is what remains after destroyed by the storm.
This is now a photographer's and couples Paradise as there is a swing where you can watch the sunset against the ocean kissing the shores.
The hike down to the pier is tricky and have to use both hands and slide on the butt. But the view is never disappointing.
If you’re looking to try something different, order our Kang Tai Pla next time 🐟🥘🥬🍜 It’s Southern style pickled fish stew served with crispy pork belly, vermicelli noodles, and herbs. This dish is spicy and absolutely delicious! 🔥🌶
