World Elephant Day 2020. I love these awareness days. These incredible endangered animals touch the soul. Often, when one dies, the herd comes back to the spot where the elephant passed to spread the bones, to memorialize. A year afterwards.

#DidYouKnow : During the infant stage, they rely heavily on their mothers for nutrients, hygiene and to learn survival skills. They learn how to use their trunks for feeding, drinking and bathing. Plus, they learn everything about how to avoid dangers. Just like humans, the infant years are critical to learning necessary survival skills.
•Asian Elephants were categorized as one of the protected animals under Wildlife Preservation and Protection Act, and an #EndangeredSpecies . The number has been decreasing each year with forest reduction, fragmentation, and threats such as hunting and other human activities.
