I don’t talk about my ol’ biddy bean on here. She’s been my sidekick for the past 14 (yep FOURTEEN) years, that’s longer than I’ve known my husband and way longer than I’ve been in business. She’s been my side through thick and thin and I honestly can’t imagine life without her. And while her crazy baby sister Ollie keeps her on her toes, she is still the goodest girl.⠀
I know I’m not alone, I want to hear all about your ride-or-die animal companions! Tell me down below.

Here I am at the great conference about future of heaLth coaching in Uk.
😃✨❣️❣️❣️ Great speech by dr Chaterjee on the impact of stress on many areas in our lives.
Especially he mentioned lack of downtime for our brain to rest which is now being linked to Alzheimer’s, lack of passion linked to many mental health issues and loneliness.
Great atmosphere and energy seeing other coaches with more experience and those who are just starting (like me) !
Good things are happening already and coming! #ukhealthcoaches#lifestylemedicine #conference #learning

Let's hit the week with the right attitude ⚡
Nobody is too small to create change.... and never underestimate the power of a mosquito
In this video, I talked about the mid section of our body.
Fam, you know this… A sagging belly is one of the most noticeable changes to our bodies as we age... (Trust me)
Although it's possible to flatten your abs over 50, you do lose muscle mass at the rate of about 3 to 8 percent each decade after the age of 30. With that comes an increasing tendency to accumulate fat, especially around your middle. How frustrating right!
The good news is that muscle... at any age… they eventually respond to exercise.
Before you get started, make sure to measure your waist and record them in a convenient spot. Every week or two, take and record them again. Stay accountable so you know your progress.
You might have to work around some age-related limitations, especially if you have limited flexibility or back or joint problems, but the fundamentals of core exercises for us 50 year olds are still the same as to any age group. You just need to consult first with an expert in case you have current issues with your physical health!

Some would agree that this statement is very true but I see it differently as an Energy Coach. There’s a reason “WHY” you have done what you’ve always done.
It’s important to acknowledge and validate your experiences. It’s apart of your WHO today. It’s never too late to rewrite your WHO either. Besides…… YOU are the creator of your own life.
Are you feeling ashamed about being stuck?

I think sometimes your life needs to crumble around you and turn to shit in order to fertilize the next lush chapter. That was me this summer - and now the Fall seems to be sprouting abundance everywhere I turn - work opportunities, friendship/connections, romance....so if you ever feel your life is coming apart at the seams, just take a second to realize it’s creating space for something(s) new to emerge.

Favorite quote: “I shall pass through this world but once. Any good therefore that I can do, or any kindness that I can show to any human being, let me do it now. Let me not defer or neglect it, for I shall not pass this way again.” -Henry Drummond (I found this sign at an antique store and it’s hanging in my home.) Favorite childhood memory: Probably playing outside all day with my neighbors. We were never bored because we always came up with something new everyday, whether it was climbing trees, turning my driveway into a skating rink, or building a hide-out in the woods. We just knew to be “in before dark”! What do you like most about Alabama: The change of seasons. Although as of this writing we are approaching October and it’s 96 degrees! I love that the state has such a diverse landscape. Of course I love Auburn football. And it’s where my people are!
What do you love about the South: The kindness of its people. This is never more evident than when someone suffers loss or has a need-the casseroles are on their way!
Favorite place in Alabama: Fairhope, I would love to live on the bay.
Favorite Place in the South: I’m a 5th generation Floridian, so to me home feels like live oak trees with Spanish moss, mangroves, and the beach.
Favorite book by a southern author: The author may not be southern but the book has southern roots. I read the "The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks" when it first came out. Powerful and unforgettable.
Your mentor: My mother is one of the smartest and strongest women I know. She was a single mom who worked her way up the ranks at IBM. She taught me to respect everyone regardless of status, race, religion, or ethnicity and to always put others first. She’s a voracious reader and she plays a mean game of Scrabble.
What you wish you could tell your 20 year old self: You have worth and value as a child of God. Don’t try to seek approval from anyone else. Joy is found when you focus less on yourself and more on others. And count your blessings! #womenofalabama#sweethomealabama
Why you shouldn't listen to stereotypical entrepreneurial advice👇🏼
Hustle. Grind all day. Work harder. These things are what I filled my mind with in the beginning of my entrepreneurship journey.
After spending my first year in business working 60 a week, I finally came crashing down. My work ethic was high. My productivity, happiness, and mental health were quite the opposite.
I was living in the delusion that more work == higher chances of success. Unfortunately, entrepreneurship is not that predictable [no matter how much I wanted it to be]. After 3 years of doing business, I now know that smarter work == higher chance of success. If you do it right, you shouldn't need to work more than 40 that often, and you will have work life balance.
So here's my advice: don't force yourself to work when you actually need a break, take some time every day to relax, and be PATIENT with yourself. Big goals get accomplished over YEARS.
Your mental health is just as important as your goals. In fact, improving my mental health has been my only goal this month. As I focus on it, just like any other goal, it has been slowly improving.
CHEERS to the weekend! I'm finally taking some of them off of work for the first time in years.
