Our Attention is Powerful. It is a reflection of what we're thinking about and focusing our time and energy on.
Our attention is available to us in limited supplies. It can easily be diverted and consumed in ways that take us off our course of action, leading to unfinished tasks and activities. .
Ultimately, we are always in charge of where we choose to direct our attention and toward whom we give our attention to.
When focused, our attention can work to our benefit and empower us to achieve amazing results. When left unmanaged, it can work to our detriment. .
Through coaching, I teach my clients how to incorporate a daily thought management practice which shows them exactly what their thoughts and attention are creating in their lives.
Once we become aware of these patterns, then we're better able to focus our attention in a more purposeful way and uplevel our results.
It's a powerful practice and can literally change the course of your life. So, next time your mind starts to wander aimlessly, pause and check in with yourself.

Holiday Parties Yay or Super Nay?
This time of year I get so many invites (yes I am lucky) and I am smarter than I used to be about what I say yes to and what I say no to and how long I stay and so many things! 🥳
I thought I would share a few of my tips with you!
1. If you want to say no, then say no. Figure out a way of saying no that works for you. When you say no, mean it and stick to it. 2. When you say yes, it’s actually ok to come for 20 minutes, make the rounds and then leave. That’s paying attention to your own body and nurturing you. 3. If you are having a blast, make sure to let the host know, sometimes it’s not a very obvious thing to let the host know you had a blast and that they are great hosts. 4. Feel free to break the rules, if your family want you to be the host again, how can you break the rules and have it be fun too?

How much time do you spend focusing on the vision for your business and communicating it to the people who support you?

Today is the last day of TedWomen 2019 in California. WomenX founder, @meciampa , is there participating in this Bold + Brilliant event. One of today’s speakers is a businesswoman who has dedicated her life and career in media to be a force for social change by advocating for women and girls everywhere. .
Pat Mitchell is a journalist, Emmy-winning producer, and media executive who is a pioneer because of her consistent focus on lifting the voices of women. This life mission led her to hosting the first TedWomen in 2010. Mitchell saw the need to create an event that focused on women and girls that discusses ideas and issues that are unique to women. .
As the media executive, producer, and curator of TedWomen, Mitchell provides a platform to connect women from diverse backgrounds. Since the first TedWomen, TedxWomen events have increased and continue to support women’s stories. The community grows more every day and we can’t wait to share highlights from this years TedWomen with our WomenX community. .

💙 A NOD TO THE COLOUR OF 2020 💙
Classic blue is the new Pantone colour of the year and it’s one of my faves. Intense and confident, this colour instils a sense of peace and can create such a regal and classy look.
Blue is a great communicating colour and I wore it as a pop colour blazer for this lovely client’s colour analysis today. The hue that works best for her is a true blue from the gorgeous winter palette.
As our big event season comes to a close this Sunday night, we are feeling SO excited for the weekend and so very grateful for every. single. person. that has shopped with us in-person and online over the last five and a half years! Man, it has been soooo fun! ♥️ We can’t wait to spoil you girls some more during this holiday season and we are looking forward to a bunch more fun events next year! 🥂 #lovemeapparel

What a dietitian eating a donut?! (and posting it!) 🙆🏻♀️ Up until a few years ago, I never even knew I liked donuts because I always felt so guilty after eating them. I no longer put food on a pedestal. I gave so much power and energy to food and to be quite honest, it was exhausting! 🙍🏻♀️
I happen to love salads but I also have found a love for donuts and bagels, and that is ok too. I don't eat these foods daily, I actually do not crave these foods daily either. However, I try to eat foods that satisfy me in the moment. When you eat the foods you love in moderation (when you want it), you won’t binge on them later. .
This morning I sent out a newsletter about why I chose not to have dessert at Thanksgiving dinner. The simple answer is, I checked in with my hunger cues and realized I wasn’t hungry and therefore didn’t want it. In previous years, I would have forced myself to have dessert because it was Thanksgiving aka the ONE time I could treat myself!! However, I knew it wasn't the only time I could eat dessert, I can have it any time I want. .
As a dietitian I think there is so much value to consuming nutrient dense foods such as fruits, vegetables, whole grains and legumes but that doesn’t mean I think anything outside of that is “bad.” I have seen the damage first hand of having a “perfect” diet. .
