How a Bullied Ginger Boy Became Britain’s Biggest Music Success. Ed Sheeran’s Life Story:
When he was growing up Ed got bullied every day for his stutter and oversized glasses. As a kid he had a surgery that went wrong and it left him with a lazy eye and very severe speech problems. The other kids would mock him so he stopped talking in class 🤐.
Yet that didn’t stop him from singing at church and playing guitar in his room 🎶. It was the only time he felt in control. Speech therapy wasn’t working and he feared being stuck with his stutter forever 😔
One day, his dad bought him Eminem’s record. Amazed by how fast Eminem rapped he learned every word back to front. He wrote his own music and lyrics and soon enough his stutter was gone. 😊
He knew that he was meant to make music. He started playing at bars every night. For 4 years he played 12 shows a week 😯.
Being on the road was tough. When he couldn’t find a couch for the night he would sleep in parks or in the subway 😨. There were some bad nights where he had no money or food and wanted to give up. But he didn’t! 💪
He knew that if he wanted to make it big he had to move to America 🇺🇸. He arrived in LA without a recording contract or a place to stay. He sent out music to anyone who would listen but heard nothing…until one day. 😉 He booked a show with a local radio host who pushed him up on stage. Terrified he began to play. Slowly, the audience began to smile and sway. And 12 minutes later he got a standing ovation 👏. That radio host was Jamie Foxx. He was so impressed that he let Ed use his recording studio!
Soon Ed got a call from a singer, she asked him to go on tour with her. It was Taylor Swift.
After years of hard work he finally got his big break 💪.
His last album debuted at number one in 14 countries and his songs and videos have been streamed billions and billions of times on Spotify and YouTube 😱.
Despite his 2 Grammy Awards his most prized award is for raising awarness on stuttering. 😊

POSITIVE MOVIE RECOMMENDATION - "One Chance".
This is the incredible and touching story of a simple British guy who’s been dreaming of becoming an opera singer since childhood 🎤. However, he manages to make this dream come true only after many difficult years, during which he applies for the TV show ’Britain’s Got Talent’. This movie tells us how important it is to never retreat a single step on the road to our goals. 😊

Morning coffee at the airport... saying goodbye to Indonesia
Indonesia is country number 7 on my worldtour... and the 45th country I have travelled
Didn’t do what I wanted due to a couple of days with a sore throath, but I haven’t been sick for more than a year - so I still feel lucky.
And sometimes you just need to stay under your duve for a couple of days, doing nothing, watching Netflix 😉

Sometimes morning flights ain’t the most dreadful thing on earth #sunrise
After one of the bumpiest plane rides I have ever experienced I arrived in Jakarta just before midnight yesterday... nice & clean airport, yes
But I had booked a mobile wifi - because I am sick & tired of not being online when I need to... the guy supposedly handing it over was in another terminal, so I had to walk forever to pick it up myself 🤦♀️ Of course someone tried to lure me to tale another cab company that the trustworthy one... don’t mess with me when I am tired & sweathy 🖕
Finally at my destination... the cab driver was amazing
Got havde over the keys to my airbnb on the 15th floor... feeling kind of hungry at 3 o’clock at night 😉
Luckily at shop downstair is open 24/7... so I wanted to by some breakfast and snacks
Cloosing the front for and the doorhandle came of 🤦♀️ I managed to be able to open and close it 💪
Then I couldn’t lock the door.... WTF... the secret procedure is to lock the door (while open) from the inside, then unlock from the outside & then you can lock it from the outside 🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️ I went to bed at four
Woke up in a good mood... meeting a local from the same building for coffee... and I couldn’t unlock the door from the inside 😳 I was trapped inside 🤦♀️ Luckily I could push the key under the door, so someone else could get me out 💪
The doorhandle has been fixed - I got my coffee - and was treatef with homecooked Indonesien food ❤️ I am fine... and have s backup who promises to get my out if I get stuck again 🤣
I‘m still receiving questions about our week in Portugal and our favorite places and beaches to visit. Here are a few of our favorite spots along the Algarve:
1. Praia do Marinha
2. Bengil Caves
4. Praia do Camilo
5. Ponta da Piedade
Save this post to make sure you don’t miss the best beaches in Portugal ☀️
Coast or city? ✧
The first time I visited Lisbon I must admit I didn’t like it that much - but that’s probably because we only had 2 days since we spent most of our time at the Algarve coast and didn’t feel like leaving it 😄 if everything works out next year I might have more than a month’s time getting to know the city properly - so fingers crossed for a second chance 🙃
