I booked a spontaneous trip home in two weeks. This term has been one of the harder ones for missing home and everything that comes with it. It’s hard putting down more and more roots somewhere only to have to be ripped away for a few months. And then having to do it over, and over again. It takes its toll, and makes it hard to stay focused and motivated. So while the trip means I’ll be flying back and forth between Alberta and Ontario more than a couple times in the span of the next two months and more money spent on plane tickets, it also means choosing to invest in my happiness and well-being (something I often neglect having been raised in a frugal household). So yeah, I’ll be a little more broke by the time graduation rolls around, but at least I’ll have taken the necessary actions to keep my mind happy and healthy. Choose to invest in your happiness friends, because feeling fulfilled and being in a good state of mind does wonders for productivity and performance. ✨
Ski touring plans got derailed today when we saw this inversion forming above Canmore. Sososo worth it!! 📷: @kitkatkes

Winter was in full-swing in the Rockies today. Chilly temps and freezing rain led to frosted tips on humans and pups alike. The only thing to do when it gets cold is hustle with your pals and gear up for epic outdoors time, 16kms on sheer ice with some of the best gals around! Gotta make lemonade when the sun shines hey gals?! 🤣 #thegreatupheaval
Love these girls! I can’t count the number of times they’ve dropped everything to join me on one of my crazy adventure ideas, rescheduled appointments and meetings, traded work shifts, or called in favors with friends for child care.
These girls follow me out on thin ice (literally,) eagerly agree to long drives to chase early season snow with me every November, and even help me with my writing when I need to make a long day trip to get photos of a remote waterfall or need an adventure buddy for an overnight media trip. They are absolutely the best.

Friday i'm in love ♥️
Time to plan some activities for winter. Dog sledding, tubbing, and ski lessons are on our list.
Any suggestions from you guys?
Excited to get out for our “Morning March” walk tomorrow. I think it’s really good for Enid to be around humans her own age and I know it’s great for me to get out with other mamas! #albertaadventuremoms#radmums#momgang
Going a little stir-crazy right now. I just want to be on top of a mountain!! .

After vacation planning I realized I'm only in Canada for 2 weeks this summer 😲
Currently planning a roadtrip to the states (Washington, Oregon, Cali, Nevada, Utah, Montana) & a trip to the UK! Anybody has any must see/do places, hikes, sights for these places?? 📷: @its.max.blair
